First, host Wayne Shepherd replays an answer from Dr. Whitcomb regarding his friendship with Dr. Henry Morris, the co-author of "The Genesis Flood." Then we hear from a tribute written to honor Dr. Whitcomb by Answers in Genesis founder Ken Ham, and we also go back to listen to Ken interview Dr. Whitcomb in 2015 from high above the construction site of the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, Kentucky. Finally, we conclude with Biblical teaching by Ken on the relevance of Genesis for today's world. We’re celebrating creation—and the creation of America—this weekend on “Encounter God’s Truth.” Author and theologian Dr. John Whitcomb shares more of his classic message on “The Genesis Flood,” which was recorded live at Grace Baptist Bible College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. We thank them for allowing us to bring it to you here. Later in the program, host Wayne Shepherd welcomes Dr. Andy Woods to the microphone. Dr. Woods is a pastor, seminary president and attorney who has done much research into the founding of America. He answers the question: “What did the Founders mean by the phrase in the Declaration of Independence, ‘All men are created equal’? Was evolution involved in their thinking in any way?” God’s Word is true from the beginning to the end—and was viewed as such at the creation of America. On Friday, June 22, 2018, author and Bible teacher Dr. John Whitcomb turned 94 years old! What better way to celebrate than to revisit a classic message on “The Genesis Flood”—on this special edition of “Encounter God’s Truth”! Dr. Whitcomb is known as one of the founding fathers of the modern Biblical creationism movement. In 1961, he and co-author Dr. Henry Morris produced the classic book, “The Genesis Flood,” which has served as a textbook around the world now for more than 56 years. To honor Dr. Whitcomb on this birthday weekend, we have reached into our library to find a classic creation message in which he talks about “The Genesis Flood”: both the topic and the book, and also its late co-author, Dr. Morris, who was Dr. Whitcomb’s beloved friend for many years. The message was recorded at Grace Baptist Bible College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and we thank them for allowing us to bring it to you here. God’s Word is true from the beginning to the end. It has been a historic week for Dr. John Whitcomb, who was honored to be on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony to open up the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, Ky., on Tuesday. Welcome back to "Encounter God’s Truth," which features the Bible teaching of Dr. Whitcomb, co-author with Dr. Henry Morris of the book that helped to launch the modern Biblical creationism movement back in 1961—"The Genesis Flood." That is also the title of the message that we finish today on this Christ-exalting outreach of Whitcomb Ministries. It is our mission to proclaim that God’s Word is true from the beginning to the end. From the beginning of his work on that time-honored book—going back to the early 1950s—Dr. Whitcomb really came full circle this week when he helped to open up the Ark Encounter—Answers in Genesis’ life-size reconstruction of Noah’s Ark, located near the Creation Museum. This message was delivered last month at the Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Indianapolis before the 96th annual meeting of the Fundamental Baptist Fellowship International.
