  • The Genesis Flood (Part 2)
A strategic partnership was formed in 1953 when John Whitcomb met Henry Morris for the very first time. Roughly eight years later, they would see the publication of their co-authored volume, “The Genesis Flood,” which would challenge the Christian world to re-evaluate long-held views that attempted to bridge the differences between a literal reading of Genesis and the teachings of evolution. Drs. Whitcomb and Morris wanted everyone to know that God’s Word is true from the beginning to the end! We continue this week on "Encounter God’s Truth" with Part 2 of “The Genesis Flood” in the series, “Creation Apologetics.” We want to thank Answers in Genesis for allowing us to bring you this material, recorded live inside Legacy Hall at the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky. Join Dr. Whitcomb and host Wayne Shepherd for this dynamic broadcast.

  • The Five Worlds of History, Science and Prophecy (Part 1)
God’s Word is true from the beginning to the end! We teach that every week on “Encounter God’s Truth,” but it will be reinforced as Dr. John Whitcomb begins a survey of the distinct periods or systems covered in Scripture—from the beginning of creation until the unveiling of the New Heavens and Earth. Dr. Whitcomb has famously titled this study, “The Five Worlds of History, Science and Prophecy.” This is the first program in a new series called, “Creationism Classics.” These messages were delivered at a Bible conference at Grace Baptist Bible College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and we thank them for allowing us to share them with you. Host Wayne Shepherd closes the program by asking Dr. Whitcomb about his relationship with the late Dr. Henry Morris, and our speaker also shares a quote from “The Genesis Flood.”

  • The Incarnation: Christ, The Light of the World
No one knows for sure exactly when Christ was born in Bethlehem. The late Dr. Henry Morris has pointed out that the likely time of year for shepherds to have been in the fields outside Bethlehem watching their sheep was in the early autumn. For this reason, many Christians in England and western Europe observed an ancient Christian feast on September 29. If their timetable was correct, the miraculous conception of Christ in Mary's womb would have occurred nine months earlier – around December 25! There is something intriguing about the likelihood that Jesus, “the Light of the world,” entered our world right at the season of the darkest and longest night of the year! John in his gospel is preoccupied with the Person of Christ, the incarnate Son of God. He never once mentions Christ's birth in Bethlehem! What does the Incarnation mean to you? Does it matter to you that 2,000 years ago, God came to planet Earth to dwell with men and identify with our humanity? Your answer to that question will determine whether you have yet been illuminated by the “true Light.”
