  • Intelligent Design: Essential But Not Sufficient
In this first message from the 2006 Third Annual Day with Whitcomb Ministries, renowned author and speaker Dr. John Whitcomb seeks to make sense for the common person of one of the most controversial developments of our time – the Intelligent Design Movement. He shows, as the title of the message suggests, how the ideas it proposes are vital, but also totally unable to deal with the ultimate issues of origins. “The Bible absolutely insists on Intelligent Design,” he says, noting, however, that this movement offers a “magnificent, impressive bridge, broken at the other end.” Dr. Whitcomb describes his own journey to understanding the depths of Biblical truth on these issues. He shows how drastically different the Biblical account of origins is from evolutionary hypostheses, and gives strong proof from Scripture for arguing from the Biblical text itself to explain the origin of all things. More than 200 people braved an early season snowstorm which fell the night before this conference to hear two of the most dynamic creation speakers in the world, and now the world can enjoy these messages here on SermonAudio.com. We trust that they will be a great blessing to many.

  • Christ Jesus: God and Creator at the Beginning
In this talk given at the 2006 Third Annual Day with Whitcomb Ministries, Dr. John Whitcomb refutes the faulty, cultic Christology that teaches that Christ Jesus was a created being, and shows how the Jews understood Jesus' claims to be the Son of God. Dr. Whitcomb explains how the Father created all things through Christ the eternal Son, and describes the magnificence of the angels that God made as one example of the Lord's matchless creative power. Dr. Whitcomb, an internationally-known scholar in his own right, talks about his encounter with the great Albert Einstein at Princeton University following the Second World War — just one interesting historical tidbit in this powerful lesson on creation from one of the "founding fathers" of the modern creationism movement. We trust you will enjoy this message, as did those who were originally gathered for this conference.

  • How to Interpret the Bible Consistently
Dr. John Whitcomb explains how a consistent, literal interpretation of the whole Bible will lead one to view the days of Genesis, as well as the days of Revelation -- not to mention the days in the life of Christ -- at face value. This conversation with Dr. Whitcomb is, in part, an opportunity for him to discuss the article that was done in tribute to him and Dr. Henry Morris by Dr. Thomas Ice in the June 2006 issue of "Pre-Trib Perspectives." "History is real," says Dr. Whitcomb. "Nothing ever happened apart from a chronology. Just as the world began in six days, it will end in a thousand years." Listen to this talk to learn more about how we should approach the Bible, from its beginning all the way to the end, so that we can more fully understand the plan of God and His work in the world today. • The Third Annual Day with WMI: A Preview
In this interview, Dr. John Whitcomb shares a look ahead to Nov. 11, 2006, which will bring us to the Third Annual Day with Whitcomb Ministries. He shows how this conference, which will also involve keynote guest speaker Carl Kerby of Answers in Genesis, will tackle the tough issues and current trends related to creation truth -- such as showing the pros and cons of the Intelligent Design Movement. Dr. Whitcomb explains that we can know the truth about origins from the study of Scripture. "I make the announcement, friends," he says, "evolutionism is wrong." We hope that you will consider coming to this special conference -- an event for the entire family, filled with teaching, music, displays, book tables -- and even a celebration of Veterans Day. Our conference this year is entitled, "A Yound Earth: The Christian's Absolute Beginning," and it will be dedicated to the memory of Dr. Henry M. Morris, II. Please make plans to join us.

  • The Status of the Creationism Movement Today
Dr. John Whitcomb speaks from his heart in this message about the status of the modern creationism movement in the 21st century. He talks about the passing of Dr. Henry Morris in February of 2006, and remembers the work that they undertook together in writing "The Genesis Flood," but also rejoices in the many great works still being carried on by several creationist ministries. Among these is Answers in Genesis, which Dr. Whitcomb now represents on occasion as a creation speaker. "More and more people seem to fascinated by creation conferences," Dr. Whitcomb states. "People are saying, 'The creation message gave me a whole new perspective on the truth of the Bible and the relevance and significance and importance of eternal salvation through Jesus Christ, my Creator and my Lord.'"

  • Remembering Henry Morris
Dr. Henry Morris was one of Dr. John Whitcomb's four “fathers,” and had a tremendous impact on his life since they first met in 1953. Dr. Whitcomb shares thoughts about Dr. Morris' recent passing and funeral, and about the interesting experiences he had while in San Diego for Dr. Morris' memorial services. “He was a genius, an expositor of the Word of God,” Dr. Whitcomb said of his mentor, friend and co-laborer of more than 50 years.

  • BBS#4: The CREATION Era
'The Creation Era,' the first main segment in Old Testament history, centres on 4 major historical events: 1. CREATION (Genesis 1-2); 2. THE FALL (Genesis 3); 3. THE FLOOD (Genesis 6-9); 4. THE TOWER OF BABEL (Genesis 10-11). Key questions are addressed, including: • Why is Genesis 1–11 so foundational to all of Scripture? • Why did Dr. Henry Morris describe Genesis 1:1 as "the foundation of all foundations ... the most important verse in the Bible"? • Was the world really made in 6 x 24-hour days? • What about the 'Gap Theory'? • How important is the first gospel promise of Genesis 3:15? • Was Noah's Ark large enough for all the animals? • How did all the world's different 'races' arise from Noah and his family? • Does the Bible give reason for racism? N.B. Given the amount of material explored in this study, it is strongly recommended that you download the accompanying .pdf file.
