It is almost as if God is saying, 'Here is a tool that will lead you to more truth faster than ever before. Make the best possible use of it and bring much glory to My Name.' (2 Timothy 2:15, Ephesians 5:16).' *** Dr. Voddie Baucham (Voddie Baucham Ministries) writes, 'I want you to know that I have enjoyed my Puritan Hard Drive immensely. I simply could not have imagined such a resource before getting my hands on it! To have that much information from a consistent, biblical, orthodox, and gospel-centered point of view is simply astonishing.' *** 'I don't believe there has been a more valuable extra-biblical resource and tool than the Puritan Hard Drive.' - Dr. Matthew McMahon, A Puritan's Mind MANY MORE PURITAN HARD DRIVE USER REVIEWS http://bit.ly/c5MGjL

  • Pope Francis Shows His True Colors, Mystery Of Iniquity Continues, Papal Antichrist
Richard Bennett is a former Roman Catholic priest who is now a Christian who preaches God's sovereign grace and justification by faith alone. In this video Richard demonstrates that Pope Francis's performances and writings give a picture of a man that is two-faced. Thus, Cardinal Bergoglio, once elected, chose the name Pope Francis in honor of St Francis of Assisi. St Francis was known to be a softhearted lover of nature. Accordingly, Pope Francis cleverly implied that he would be similarly unassuming, kind, and harmless. On the other hand, from his first speech and his subsequent presentations, he has shown himself as a totalitarian dictator. Thus, as the media and many ecumenical Evangelicals fawn over Pope Francis, it is necessary to biblically analyze his speeches and performances. The mind-boggling conclusions are documented in our video. ****** The Puritan Hard Drive has been such a superb blessing to me personally and for my ministry, that I lack words to adequately praise the Lord! The immense heritage of Puritan and Biblical pastors, leaders, and teachers is given to us in a single source on the Puritan Hard Drive. Right here at your fingertips are the works of such men as John Wycliffe, John Huss, Martin Luther, William Tyndale, John Calvin, Thomas Cranmer, John Bunyan, John Owen, Matthew Poole, George Whitefield, Charles Spurgeon, J. C. Ryle, and on and on until you reach the great Biblical scholars of the present century. - Richard Bennett (Former Roman Catholic Priest, Now A Banner of Truth Author, Protestant Conference Speaker, Preacher of God's Sovereign Grace, etc.), Berean Beacon

  • A Puritan Theology
A Puritan Theology: Doctrine for Life offers a groundbreaking treatment of the Puritans' teaching on most major Reformed doctrines, particularly those doctrines in which the Puritans made significant contributions. Since the late 1950s, nearly 150 Puritan authors and 700 Puritan titles have been reprinted and catalogued by Joel Beeke and Randall Pederson in their 2006 collection of mini-biographies and book reviews, titled, Meet the Puritans. However, no work until now has gathered together the threads of their teaching into a unified tapestry of systematic theology. A Puritan Theology, by Joel Beeke and Mark Jones, attempts to do that. The book addresses Puritan teachings on all six loci of theology, covering fifty areas of doctrine. The book explores Puritan teachings on biblical interpretation, God, predestination, providence, angels, sin, the covenants, the gospel, Christ, preparation for conversion, regeneration, coming to Christ, justification, adoption, church government, the Sabbath, preaching, baptism, heaven, hell, and many other topics. It ends with eight chapters that explore Puritan “theology in practice.” Some chapters highlight the work of a specific theologian such as William Perkins, William Ames, John Owen, Stephen Charnock, or Thomas Goodwin on a specific topic. Other chapters survey various authors on a particular subject. The goal of A Puritan Theology is to increase knowledge in the mind and godliness in the soul. It was written for theologians, historians, pastors, and educated laymen who seek to learn more about Puritan theology. My guest on the program today will be Dr. Joel Beeke - President and Professor of Systematic Theology and Homileti

  • Questions 70 and 71
Dr. Noell teaches on justification from WLC 70-71, reading extensively from Romans 3:19-4:8. He explains the forensic nature of justification as a legal declaration distinguished from Rome's conflation of justification and sanctification. The lesson covers the twofold nature of justification (pardon of sins and acceptance as righteous), its eschatological dimension from John 5:24, and Owen and Bavinck on why justification by faith alone is counter-intuitive to the natural mind.

Owen's treatise is offered, in the belief that it will help us in one of the most urgent tasks facing Evangelical Christendom today, the recovery of the gospel.' 'It is safe to say that no comparable exposition of the work of redemption as planned and executed by the triune Jehovah has ever been done since Owen published his in 1648... Nobody has a right to dismiss the doctrine of the limitedness of the atonement as a monstrosity of Calvinistic logic until he has refuted Owen's proof that it is part of the uniform biblical presentation of redemption, clearly taught in plain text after plain text. And nobody has done that yet' (back cover). General considerations needed before explaining the doctrine. 2. Justification by faith generally acknowledged, but the meaning of it is also often perverted. There are two kinds of faith in Scripture. 3. The Nature of Justifying Faith; the faith by which we are justified. 4. How faith is used in justification. Who affirms it? Who denies it? 5. The proper sense of the words justification, justify, important. They are always used in a forensic sense under a juridical scheme. 6. Distinction between a first and second justification. The whole doctrine of the Romish church grounded on this distinction. 7. Evangelical personal righteousness; the nature and use of it. There is no evangelical justification on our personal righteousness. 8. The nature of imputation. The first mention of it is in Gen. 15:6. 9. Imputation of sin unto Christ testified by the ancients. 10. The principal controversies about justification discussed. 11. The arguments for justification of the righteousness of Christ. Our personal righteousness no cause of justification in the sight of God. 12. Nature of the obedience or righteousness required unto justification. Perfect obedience under the covenant of works. + CLICK ON THE 'OUTSIDE WEB LINK' BELOW TO FIND OUT HOW TO GET 60 NEW SWRB CDs FOR FREE (FOR A LIMITED TIME)
