  • Christ is Risen
Christ is Risen:The Essential and Fundamental Application of the Resurrection of Christ from the Dead The crux of the Christian faith rests upon the truth and reality of the Resurrection of the Lord Christ. If Christ did not raise, then all mankind is lost. There is then absolutely no hope for any justification whatsoever, since His failure to raise from the dead would have proven that His sacrifice was unacceptable to God as an offering for sin. If God did not deliver Christ from the grave then the grave, sin and death would have gotten the victory. Yet, this is not the case. As the great Puritan Theologian John Owen rightly stated, “Death had been put to death by the death of Jesus Christ.” And the proof of that was in His resurrection. The Apostle Paul addresses this fact and argues against those who were doubting as to whether or not Christ had raised from the dead. This sermon examines his argument and sets forth the parameters of its application to those who will follow Christ now and at His coming.
