  • The Problems (The Troubles for Titus)
The sermon warns believers against spiritual distractions that divert attention from Jesus Christ to unprofitable disputes, genealogies, and syncretistic philosophies. Drawing primarily from Titus 3:9-11, the message identifies these diversions as destructive because they fail to cultivate love for Christ or produce righteous living. The preacher emphasizes that true biblical teaching must always point to the centrality of Christ's work and result in obedience to His gospel. Believers are exhorted to reject divisive influences and maintain their focus on the transformative power of grace rather than empty theological debates. Ultimately, the core message calls for a steadfast commitment to the true gospel as the only path to salvation and spiritual vitality.

  • A Reason For The Hope In You
This sermon explores how Christians can endure suffering without fear by anchoring their lives in the right fear of God, a firm hope in resurrection, and a gentle witness. Drawing from 1 Peter 3, the preacher explains that believers should expect hardship but remain unafraid because Christ has already faced the ultimate trial. The message emphasizes that honoring Christ in the heart produces a hope that sustains believers through loss and persecution. It further argues that apologetics is less about philosophical debate and more about living with a clear conscience and godly character. Ultimately, the sermon encourages the congregation to follow Jesus' example of self-sacrifice, finding courage in the assurance of eternal life.

  • 26-09-13 Engaging With AI in Spiritual Matters
Engaging With AI in Spiritual Matters Faith Debate: Sunday, September 13th, 2026 (09/20/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) How serious are deepfakes? Can AI provide true spiritual counsel, as people replace true shepherding for algorithmic comfort? If used for sermons will AI bring bad preaching? Does tech erode understanding that human thought/creativity/relationships are unique/valuable because humans bear God's image? What's the case for/against engaging AI? Is it faithful, or failure, to disengage? If saints don't interact with AI, do they forfeit opportunity to shape it? Will Christian absence interacting mean the training data will skew further from a biblical framework? Is there a responsibility to engage AI development, prompt AI tools with theological content, & work in AI industries as a vocational calling? Or would this normalize a tech whose long-term effects are maybe corrosive? If only secular materialists are shaping AI's values, will the church one day complain about the fruit of a tree it refused to tend? This is part 5 of a 5-part series. • Garments of Praise
The Bible says that the enemy roars around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Peter says do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you as though some strange thing happened to you but keep on rejoicing so that also the revelation of His glory you may rejoice in exultation. The New Testament teaches about the trying of one's faith as a fiery trial. But for Shadrach, Meshack, and Abendego it was a reality. The mysterious 4th Figure in this section of scripture is the Protector of God's people. The fire had no power over God's people. Not one stitch of clothing was singed. For that we rejoice. Whether Meshach, Shadrach, and Abendego saw this figure is up for debate. But we know one person who did and that 4th Figure would be etched in his mind forever Daniel 3:24-30 Luke 16:14 then 19-31

  • 26-09-06 AI Ethical Considerations
AI Ethical Considerations Faith Debate: Sunday, September 6th, 2026 (09/13/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) People respond to AI with excitement/fear/everything between. Are the responses theologically sound, or driven by personality & culture? Some embrace "Artificial Intelligence" for productivity in sermon prep/evangelism/Bible study. Others are anxious over deception, loss of human connection, doctrinal dilution, & the erosion of pastoral care. Some treat AI as evidence the End Times are here. Is any of this based on Christian reasoning; or are saints importing secular anxieties/enthusiasms? Excitement/terror about AI can reveal more about a person's view of providence & human depravity than about AI itself. Are fears legit? Which concerns deserve weight? Which are technophobia dressed in piety? This episode is part 4 of a 5-part conversation (piggybacking on a 2-part AI discussion from earlier in 2026). • He Is Stronger Than Your Weakest Moment | Perseverance of the Saints
Romans 11:22 — "Otherwise thou also shalt be cut off." Does that mean you can lose your salvation? A verse-by-verse walk through Catholic, Arminian, and Reformed views on perseverance. This message addresses one of the most searched and debated questions in the Christian life: can a believer lose their salvation? This sermon walks through three major views — the Catholic view of ongoing justification through works, the Arminian view that a believer can choose to walk away and become apostate, and the Reformed conviction that the saints persevere not by their own strength, but because God preserves them to the end. Using real conversations, honest struggle with hard passages, and examples from David and Peter — two men who backslid badly and yet were never cast away — this sermon works through 2 Timothy 2 and 4, 1 John 1 and 5, Matthew 5 and 23, Galatians 2, Romans 9–11, Philippians 1 and 4, and Hebrews 7 to answer the question honestly and biblically: is your salvation dependent on your own perseverance, or on God's? This sermon walks through the doctrine of perseverance, explaining: - What perseverance actually means and why the Christian life is marked by it - The Catholic doctrine of ongoing justification, mortal sin, and venial sin — and why it misunderstands what justification means - The Arminian argument from Romans 11:22 that a believer can be "cut off" - Why Romans 9–11 is actually about the nation of Israel, not individual salvation - The olive tree, the grafted branches, and what they do (and don't) teach about losing salvation - David's adultery, conspiracy, and murder — and why he was still a man after God's own heart

  • Matthew 23:37-24:3 - The Doctrine of End Times - Pastor Casey Lewis
What do Christians believe about the end times? As we begin Matthew 24 and the Olivet Discourse, Pastor Casey Lewis introduces the doctrine of eschatology and explains why Christians should study what Scripture teaches about the return of Christ. In this message, Pastor Casey surveys the major Christian end-times positions, including historic premillennialism, dispensational premillennialism, postmillennialism, amillennialism, and preterism. He also discusses how Christians should approach disagreements over eschatology with humility and charity, dangers such as date-setting and interpreting every news event as biblical prophecy, and why he currently holds to an amillennial view. Above all, the doctrine of the end times should lead Christians not merely to debate, but to remain faithful, active, and ready for the return of Jesus Christ.
