  • All About Scripture 5: New Testament Overview- Contents & Authorship
This lesson provides an introductory overview of the New Testament, focusing on its contents and authorship within a broader series on Scripture. The speaker explains that the New Testament covers approximately one hundred years of history, culminating in the incarnation of Christ, and is divided into historical books, epistles, and apocalyptic literature. A significant portion addresses authorship, noting that while most books have clear attributions, Hebrews remains debated due to stylistic differences from Paul's other writings. The preacher emphasizes that apparent contradictions in the Gospels are resolvable through harmonization and contextual understanding of ancient literary conventions. Finally, the session concludes by affirming the divine inspiration and authority of the text as a defense against skeptical critiques.

  • 26-08-23 Navigating AI's Role in Faith
Navigating AI's Role in Faith Faith Debate: Sunday, August 23rd, 2026 (08/30/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) The Faith Debate digs into AI from a Christian vantage point. What is this technology at its root? Are fears about it due to faithful discernment, or cultural panic? If Christians disengage from "Artificial Intelligence", who fills the vacuum to train the machines, and shape the values baked into systems influencing billions of people? From the specter of end-times speculation to cultural withdrawal, can the church be let off the hook with easy answers? This isn't a conversation about gadgets, but rather about dominion, discipleship, and how the people of God can best show up where it counts. You're invited to listen, and then decide where you stand. This episode is part two of a five-part conversation (piggybacking on a two-part AI discussion from earlier in the year). • God’s name
The sermon explores the linguistic distinctions within the King James Bible regarding the various representations of God's name, specifically analyzing the Hebrew Tetragrammaton and its translation into LORD, God, or Jehovah. It examines how capitalization patterns reveal underlying Hebrew words like Yahweh, Elohim, and Adonai, emphasizing that these are not interchangeable but carry distinct theological weight. The preacher uses Genesis 22:14 to illustrate the complexity of translating compound names like Jehovah-Jireh, debating whether it signifies God who sees or God who provides based on contextual evidence. By highlighting marginal notes and translation choices, the message encourages readers to engage deeply with the text rather than relying solely on commentaries. Ultimately, the sermon invites believers to recognize God's personal involvement in their lives by adopting specific names for Him that reflect His actions in their own experiences.

  • John 10:31-38 • They Came With Stones. They Left With Empty Hands.
John 10:31-38 — The men who picked up stones to kill Jesus stated His claim to be God in full, word for word. His modern critics won't even do that. This expository preaching message walks verse by verse through John 10:31-38, the moment the Jews at Solomon's porch pick up stones to kill Jesus over His claim to be God. Rather than softening or reinterpreting what Jesus said, this teaching shows how His own accusers — men with every reason to minimize the claim — stated it in full. That's a stronger witness to the deity of Christ than anything offered by modern-day critics who insist Jesus never claimed to be God. Using Leviticus 24's blasphemy law and Psalm 82's rebuke of corrupt judges, this teaching shows how Jesus turns His accusers' own scripture against their charge — arguing from lesser to greater: if God once called sinful judges "gods" for merely holding an office, how much more is it not blasphemy for the One the Father sanctified and sent to say, "I am the Son of God"? This verse-by-verse exposition connects John 10:22-39 with Leviticus 24:16, Psalm 82, John 3:3, John 5:25, John 8:21-43, John 14:10-21, John 17:21, Micah 5:2, and 1 Corinthians 2:7-8, explaining: - Why debate doesn't reach for stones, but fear does - Why Jesus answers the blasphemy charge with a question, not a denial - What "the scripture cannot be broken" actually settles in this argument - How Psalm 82's rebuke of corrupt judges becomes Jesus's defense - Why His enemies are more reliable witnesses to His deity than modern skeptics - The difference between memorizing scripture and letting scripture read you - Why Jesus stands behind a record of works instead of hiding behind a claim

  • 26-08-16 Theological Discourse on AI
Theological Discourse on AI Faith Debate: Sunday, August 16th, 2026 (08/23/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) "Artificial Intelligence" has real consequences; should Christians build it, boycott it, or redeem it? A.I. is no longer a science fiction premise; it's sadly writing sermons, answering theological questions, and shaping the worldview of millions. In light of these realities, is the church largely having the wrong conversations about it? Some Christians marvel at the possibilities, while others sound an apocalyptic alarm. The Faith Debate now helps ask and answer the question that matters most: What is our responsibility before God in this moment? This episode is part one of a five-part conversation (piggybacking on a two-part AI discussion from earlier in the year).
