Our admonition is the same: Serve the Lord wholeheartedly.

1. Fear, serve, obey, and follow the Lord

2. Don’t turn to empty things to profit or deliver you

3. Consider the great things God has done for you

-New Creation is Already & Not Yet

-Jesus is the Cornerstone of New Creation

4. Fruitfulness in life [21-23]

5. Known by God [24]

6. Absolute peace [25]

Summary of 1 Samuel (through chapter 10): Despite Israel's rejection of God as their king, God graciously and powerfully establishes Saul as king (through his faithful servant Samuel), yet there are already signs of trouble.

-Through faith in King Jesus, we have everything we need. God has given us

-Everything we need to live a godly life [2 Peter 1:3-4]

-His word to guide us [2 Cor. 1:20-22]

-Therefore, let us trust God through the highs and lows of life [2 Peter 1:5-9]

God has graciously & powerfully worked to give us the eternal king we need!

God is always at work, moving His plan forward through the most unlikely circumstances and people.

1. Despite our character flaws, God will use us for His purposes when we trust Him.

2, God’s spirit is where the power comes from

3. Daily submit yourself to God’s will and His leading 

In every uncertainty:

-Recognize the foolishness of leaning on our own understanding

-Look to the Lord for direction (as Samuel did)

-Joyfully worship our eternal King Jesus
