In Provincetown Massachusetts, a group of children were walking down the street late one night when a shadowy figured appeared before them. The 8-foot-tall phantom hissed at the children and flashed its glowing red eyes, terrifying the boys. Before they could run, the monster disappeared in a flash, leaving nothing but the look of terror on the children’s faces behind.

Over the course of the next 7 years, sightings like the ones made by the children would continue to occur around October in the seaside town. All reports included a large, ominous figure which was completely black who could appear and disappear instantly. While terrifying, this phantom wasn’t causing any harm…
