After season one was more successful than we could have ever imagined, we decided to continue with a new season and introduce new and more exciting topics with more interactive exercises. We have had listeners from all over the world, from Costa Rica all the way to Australia, and not to mention how many copies of our book “The Comprehensive Guide to Levantine Arabic” have been sold on Amazon and at Deewan worldwide. My name is Sara AlZyoud, I’m the Media Coordinator at the Deewan Institute for Languages and Cultural Studies, and I will be your host this season, taking over from last season’s host, Mohammad Ayaseh, the co-founder of Deewan.
If you’re in Amman, Jordan, you are more than welcome to pop by our institute to use our Podcast Listening Station and study up on all those new words you get to hear on our episodes. This season we’re gonna try to cover diverse social, cultural, and educational topics from the unique perspectives of our students who hail from different ethnic, religious, and social backgrounds. We would also like to thank our teachers who have been the backbone of this project, and our students who took in-person and online classes with Deewan and consistently offered their knowledge and points of view for our listeners’ perusal. We commend their bravery and willingness to offer these topics in Arabic, which is not their native language.
Other than this podcast, we also offer curated Spotify Playlists with a collection of Arabic songs and music from the Levant that can be enjoyed by Arabic learners of all levels.
Another important note we’d like to draw your attention to is that soon you’ll be able to buy the Deewan Arabic Podcast book on Amazon and at our institute and enjoy all the perks of the podcast in your pocket for a very small fee.
And now off to the episodes, happy podcast listening!
