Starting Fall 2026, the University of Calgary is implementing a lottery admission process for the Faculty of Nursing’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program. Dr. Catherine Laing, BPE, RN, PhD, Interim Dean, UCalgary Nursing joins the show to discuss the current nursing shortage in Alberta and how UCalgary is addressing this critical social need with a proactive, upstream solution with it's new lottery based admission process.
