Welcome to Season 9 of Choose UCalgary, the University of Calgary's prospective student podcast. The Choose UCalgary Podcast is intended for any prospective student who is hoping to learn more about the University of Calgary. We will chat with key representatives from the UCalgary community to help keep you updated and informed on all things UCalgary.
Episode 10: Hear from Jess, an advisor in the Neurodiversity Support Office (NSO) within Student Accessibility Services but used to be within Student Wellness Services. Jess will talk about the advising opportunities and neurodiversity support offered here on campus. Also, to discuss the Neurodiversity Immersive Campus Experience (NICE) initiative based out of the Student Success Centre we have Faith, a NICE mentor and Varinder, a NICE volunteer joining us. They will talk about NICE Days, an initiative for incoming first year neurodivergent students to welcome them to campus and build a community, including other NICE initiatives. Jess, Faith and Varinder will all talk about the growth of our neurodiversity supports on campus and how they have seen it affect our community!
