This scripture also reveals the same principles we have uncovered in Luke 11:5-13 as requirements to meet in order for our needs to be supplied by God

These six principles for receiving God’s provision are:

1. ​Determine whether your desire qualifies as a true need
2. ​Do not be limited by times, seasons, or circumstances
3. ​Ask—petition the Lord (Ask in Faith)
4. ​Prepare to receive
5. ​Persist in faith
6. ​Wait with expectation in faith
