Elizabeth and Mr. Wickham part at last with mutual civility, and possibly a mutual desire of never meeting again.

Elizabeth's impatience to acquaint Jane with what had happened can no longer be overcome; and at length resolving to suppress every particular, in which her sister was concerned, she relates to Jane the chief of the scene between Mr. Darcy and herself.
