Second Officer Slog episodes
- Second Officer Slog 001: Avatar Book One
It's the much delayed maiden voyage of the latest and not-so-greatest ship of the fleet as M and Jackson launch Second Officer Slog. This book club podcast attempts to be a window into Star Trek's expanded universe through laughter and explaining just what the hell happens when the cameras stop rolling on DS9 and a bunch of authors descend on the remains of the show. Thus we begin with the DS9 relaunch in book form, discussing prophecy, Bajor, and the mechanics of space flight. This is the first episode of Second Officer Slog.

About Second Officer Slog
From the publisher's feed
Second Officer Slog is a monthly Star Trek book club celebrating the wild, sprawling, dubiously canon extended universe of our favorite TV sci-fi series so you don't have to! Life long Trek nerds M…
and Jackson dive into the minutia of treaties, techno-babble, and Bajoran independence starting from the DS9 novel relaunch and headed where no book club has gone before. Intended for people who've never cracked a single Trek book, we're talking about the best and worst that universe has to offer through book summaries, episode revisits, and more!
