Adam Husa has enjoyed growing success and recognition both as a Montreal based DJ and as the owner and founder of @husasounds. His ascension through the local scene has been propelled by word of his diverse sets and conspicuous productions. Although his musical roots are embedded in House and Techno, Adam Husa transcends traditional genre-related barriers by placing an emphasis on the creation of his own unique dark sound, one which revolves around eerie grooves and deep melodies.

Born and raised in Montreal, Mike has been mixing for about 3 years. Inspired by all cultures, he is curious about exploring all sounds, and playing a more diverse range of tracks.

Raised on classic hip hop, he has only dived into electronic music in the past few years. The genre has satisfied the craving for driving, grooving melodies. Developing a passion for moving dance-floors, he uses DJing as a creative outlet; a means to tell a story. ​The​ ​love​ ​remains​ ​in​ ​the​ ​dub,​ ​and​ ​the​ ​minimal​ ​groove.​ ​“My preferred​ ​vibe​ ​is​ ​always​ ​full​ ​of​ ​groove”.

Obsessed by the deepest of sounds, his goal is to transport his listeners.

At the place where deep sexy house meets high-octane energy is where you’ll find Ted Kasprow’s sound. Having spent part of his childhood in Florida, his music has taken the influence of Latin American and African fusion, which has developed into a very unique blend of deep house and melodic percussions. He has seen a very successful collaborative album, the bombshell EP, which was released on all blak records, climbing up to number 29 on the beatport top 100 charts. Ted has since released his first solo EP, titled Lover’s Empathy, on Art Vibes Music. Ted has been pushing himself with his productions, with a slate to be released in 2017.

Tchera:

Growing up in Italy, Tchera was influenced by varying types of music from a very early age. Upon moving to Toronto, Tchera began to pick up different musical instruments including drums and guitar. After forming a rock band in the late 2000s, He began to transition to electronic music after attending some of the best festivals and events all over the world. Being inspired by many Toronto locals, Tchera is consistently evolving his sound. With the help of Ted Kasprow, they have also formed METWRK and are beginning to throw events in Toronto.

Focused on strengthening their local scene, they have been building bridges with talent across Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto. They are two musical “Therapists” always eager to provide their treatment.

In2Deep is an Egyptian Montreal-based duo created out of both members’ instinctive desire to write and share their music. Their sets are expressive journeys distinguished by their emotional yet groovy edge, blending house, techno and anything in between, all while maintaining a natural flow through impeccable mixing and programming. Their versatile DJing style has resulted in them sharing bills with some of the world’s most revered selectors over the years.

Running alongside DJing has been a parallel career as producers, where the pair have long experimented with synth sounds and drumloops. Today their work has grown to encompass a number of releases on labels such as Akbal, Musik Gewinnt Freunde and Seven Villas. Their success in the studio is exemplified by collaborating with artists such as YokoO and Pablo Bolivar and earning praise by connoisseurs like Kollektiv Turmstrasse and Lee Burridge.

In late 2013, their ear for good music was put to good use when they decided to launch their own label imprint, L’enfant terrible, which has since featured an array of new and established artists as well as a few of their own tracks and remixes. With a new sister label now in the works, 2017 looks to be another busy year for In2Deep.

In the beginning of 2015 a new concept emerged in the culturally bustling cauldron of diversity - the City of Toronto. Secret Society Sessions - a weekly showcase of local talent in a radio studio inside a friendly dive bar - offered an inclusive experience where music lovers can come together on a Wednesday afternoon. Listening to an artistically curated 3-hour set, while dancing, drinking, dining and playing to the beats provided by the best of the underground house scene - the idea was well received by the community. The creative minds behind this radio show / social collective credit the compelling arsenal of musicians, producers and DJs for the success of this showcase.

After a year of amazing music and endless hours of live recordings, the creators of this project decided to release a compilation carefully selected from the works of the producers that have been featured at Secret Society Sessions.

SSS - The First Year is an LP featuring 11 tracks by the artists that have performed at this showcase. Similar in style but unique in production, these songs paint an intriguing picture of the diversity of Toronto and the quality of the art that is being created there. The electronic music scene is flourishing in the city and this compilation has been manifested to spur international recognition of the talent within.

In order to be able to do this we invite the local community to support the scene. By purchasing this LP you not only become the proud owner of a historic piece of the Toronto music scene, but are directly funding the artists and the promotional cost of a strong international campaign that will put them on the global map. Our goal is to sell 1000 CDs and by giving back $1 to every artist after each physical copy sold, these producers will get $1000 for the song they created - a royalty unprecedented in the music industry. The remainder of the revenue will cover the manufacturing, marketing and operational costs of releasing this compilation.
