Born and raised in North Texas, Jaz’s roots run deep in cowtown. As a kid, he would spend hours in our garden or down by the river picking wildflowers; little did he know he’d be doing the same thing for life. Eventually, Jaz traded out his southern sun for sun-kissed shores and found himself in San Diego discovering my unique blend of coastal vibes and cowboy spirit.

Jaz truly believes that flowers have the power to transform ordinary moments into extraordinary ones. Being intentional about the placement of every stem and every detail means that he gets to create that extra drama, romance, or excitement with each design. Jaz’s happiest memories revolve around flowers, and his goal is to pass that on to each of his clients.

College friends reunited, we were thrilled to learn from and be inspired by Jaz's entrepreneurial journey. We discuss imposter syndrome, anxiety, and learning as you go when doing something new. For our first interview of 2024 we got to dive into the softer and juicier side of things with creative, Rosalie Amber Grace. Rosalie is a Fertility Awareness Educator, poet, beekeeper, somatic student and devotee. She’s been channeling her feelings into poetry and writing since she could hold a pen. She’s an apprentice to the creative process, and a student of the nervous system. She recently published a poetry book which was a hard and beautiful process of overcoming her perfectionism and fear of being seen.  She wants to create a space for creatives to be held in exploring and nourishing their relationship to their creativity through a somatic lens.

Our conversation flowed through all the feelings as we discussed the grief process, "unfreezing" yourself and your emotions, and reminding ourselves what it means to be human. What a perfect way to settle in to a new year. It was such a treat to get to know Rosalie's heart and if you connect with her like we did, you can join her next healing group online this week!

What a gift this episode is! Katie Wee is a mindset coach, actress, writer, public speaker and wellness retreat leader. She welcomes us into her story of overcoming great hardship and sadness by creating a sense of safety and gratitude within. Katie is an advocate for victims facing the legal system after experience sexual abuse, and gives us beautiful personal insight into how we can be an ally and support those who have been harmed. She also went through a preventative double mastectomy after learning her odds for developing breast cancer and shares how and why this is an option for women's health.

We learn amazing stories from her acting career in LA, daily happiness hacks, and all the ways you can benefit from the heart centered work Katie is now doing in the world. She is joy and light and happiness and we are so honored she has joined the Secret Spiller community.
