Secular Strike Back

Chuck Schumer and nine other Senate Democrats just handed the GOP a win by voting yes on their spending bill. This move has outraged many Democrats, exposing a serious issue: weak leadership at the top. In this episode, I break down what happened, the House Appropriations Committee's response, and why we need real fighters leading our party--not career politicians who cave to MAGA Republicans.

We need bold, unrelenting leaders like Al Green, Ayanna Pressley, Jamie Raskin, Elizabeth Warren, Jasmine Crockett, and Maxwell Frost to replace Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries. Democrats deserve leaders with more bite than bark--leaders who can take on Trump, Musk, and the far-right extremists threatening our democracy.

This episode features clips of House Democrats speaking up and fighting back--the kind of leadership we need to win in 2025 and beyond.

In this episode, I dive into the origins of religion and how tribalism led to the belief in gods, rituals, and religious practices. I explore Christianity's "us vs. them" mentality and the dangers it poses to those outside their sect. As the majority religion in the U.S., Christianity continues to force its beliefs into law, directly opposing the constitutional right to freedom of religion. I also have a message for Christians in the U.S. that they need to hear.

Plus, I'm promoting my ebook, "The History and Danger of Religion", available on Amazon. Get my ebook here: https://www.amazon.com/History-Danger-Religion-Kim-McPhail-ebook/dp/B0CZPKYD2X?ref_=ast_author_dp

Just a quick explanation as to why the transcripts appear a little out of sort if you use captions. I am working hard on the transcripts and seeing that everything is in order and well understood for those who may be in other countries wanting to use subtitles, but can't easily understand what the video is about in the original english language because the auto-transcribing software does not appear to know how to properly pronounce some of the words I am saying. So I have to manually enter in much of what I am saying. Not only working on the transcriptions, but will be working on graphics and making this podcast look a little more professional. So stay with me while I work out the kinks. I am sure it will come out looking pretty good here soon. Thanks for your patience!!

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and MAGA Republicans here in the Iowa State legislature are have been forcing Christian beliefs into law, trampling on the First Amendment and the separation of church and state. In this episode, I break down the dangerous implications of Iowa's Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which grants Christians more power to discriminate.

I also expose how Reynolds and her GOP allies here in Iowa have banned The Satanic Temple from placing their religious display in the Iowa State Capitol, while pushing Christian doctrine into public school curriculums. Plus, hear an Iowa State Senator's passionate speech calling out these unconstitutional attacks on LGBTQ+ rights-shouting, "Shame on you, Christians!"

Don't miss this urgent discussion on how religious extremism is threatening democracy in Iowa.

Donald Trump has made it clear--if the media doesn't bend to his will, he'll do whatever it takes to silence them. In this episode, I break down how Trump has targeted journalists, forced news hosts out of their jobs, sued major media outlets, and how he restricted access to those members of the press he didn't like, to that of the White House, Pentagon, and beyond. His goal? To dismantle independent journalism and prop up conservative media that will do his bidding. The First Amendment guarantees freedom of the press, but under Trump's influence, that freedom is under siege. Stay informed, stay vigilant, and don't let the truth be erased. The economy is taking hit after hit, thanks to Trump's erratic tariff policies and DOGE's reckless federal cuts. Banks are suddenly closing people's accounts, and Trump's flip-flopping on tariffs keeps sending the stock market into turmoil. Meanwhile, DOGE has been laying off and firing federal workers, gutting vital programs, and even pushing to shut down entire federal agencies.

In this video, I break down how Trump's tariffs cause market crashes, only for him to reverse course and do it all over again, discuss the truth about Canadian banks exposing Trump's outright lies, DOGE’s layoffs and firings of federal workers, and what they are doing as far as program cuts and shutdown plans--and how they hurt everyday Americans. And finally, I discuss Trump and Musk's new push to cut Social Security--and why we can't let it happen. I have also included news clips covering the Canadian banking issue and the Social Security crisis.

The Bible has been transcribed and translated into multiple versions over centuries, leading to different interpretations--some of which directly contradict each other. If people must pick and choose which Bible verses to believe, can it really be considered a reliable source of truth and morality? In this video, I break down some of the most glaring contradictions and ask you to decide: Which version do you believe, and why? Join the discussion in the comments and let me know which Bible verses you think are true--and which ones expose the Bible's inconsistencies!
