  • The War on ICE is a War on America
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
For the radical left and others now styling themselves as “immigration rights” advocates, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has become the focus for vicious denunciations, delegitimization and political sabotage. Some elected officials are even calling for its dismantling and an end to the criminalization of illegal entry into the United States.
Largely lost in the unrelenting attacks on ICE, the attendant endangerment of its personnel and the growing interference in their mission is this reality: We will have no rule of law, no sovereignty and ultimately no country if we persist in such self-destructive behavior.
At the very least, undermining those who protect our borders and enforce our immigration laws in the country’s interior ensures that many millions of additional migrants will decide it’s safe to come here illegally.
The war on ICE is a war on America.  It’s time to stand with ICE.

  • Shut Down Iran's Covert Nuclear Bunker
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
Yesterday, the good ISIS – in this case, the acronym stands for the Institute for Science and International Security – confirmed a dirty little secret. The Iranian regime has never fulfilled what was supposedly one of its most important concessions in the Obamabomb deal. This cheating dwarfs in importance Iran’s recently acknowledged violations that have gotten the Europeans’ panties in a bunch.
Instead of shutting down a hardened underground facility associated with its nuclear weapons ambitions, the mullahocracy has relentlessly continued work there. Since the bunker at Fordow is off-limits to our spies and international inspectors, we can only speculate as to what that work entails.  My bet is there’s a full-scale nuclear bomb-building operation hidden there.
It’s high time the Trump administration’s “maximum pressure” campaign focuses on shutting down Fordow, along with the rest of Iran’s covert program for acquiring the Bomb.

  • Corporate Social Responsibility - Should Lobbyists for Persecutors Get A Pass?
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
Yesterday, Americans gathered across the country outside the offices of Squire Patton Boggs, a prominent law firm that lobbies Congress, contributes generously to many currently serving there and employs top former legislators.
These Religious Freedom Rallies highlighted the fact that Squire Patton Boggs is paid to lobby on behalf of five foreign governments that aggressively persecute Christians and other religious minorities: Communist China, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Cameroon and the Palestinian Authority.  Next week, a State Department Ministerial meeting will mobilize the world against such oppression.
The Save the Persecuted Christians Coalition has created a Facebook poll asking Americans like you this simple question on Corporate Social Responsibility:  Should American law firms accept money from nations who deny justice and civil rights to their own citizens and aggressively persecute people of faith?
Provide your answer on Facebook at Save the Persecuted Christians.

  • Hold Accountable the Persecutors - and their Enablers
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
Next week, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is convening the largest human rights event in State Department history. It is called the Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom. People of faith the world over owe President Donald Trump and his administration a great debt for according such high priority to safeguarding and expanding religious liberty.

The Ministerial offers a much-needed opportunity to educate audiences, both foreign and domestic, about the magnitude of the persecution currently afoot globally. Hundreds of millions of people the world-over are being persecuted for their faith, many brutally so. The majority of the persecuted are children, with girls and women being among those most violated.
We must hold accountable those who engage in such crimes against humanity.  And we must do the same to businesses, legislators and lobbyists who strive to protect the perpetrators and are, thereby, enabling them.

  • News Flash - Iran Has Violated the Nuclear Deal All Along
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
International inspectors have finally confirmed what has actually been going on unacknowledged for several years: Iran is violating the nuclear deal struck with Barack Obama and others willing to ignore its cheating from the get-go. Now, those who previously denied that ugly reality are frantically trying to get Iran to go back to pretending it’s complying.
In fact, the mullahs have never stopped pursuing their ambition to obtain nuclear weapons with which to bring, as they have long promised, “Death to Israel” and “Death to America.” Mostly, this work has gone on in off-limits, underground military sites. But the speed with which the regime has been able formally to violate certain provisions of the Obamabomb deal show how minimally it impacted their program.
Further negotiations won’t keep the ayatollahs from getting the Bomb. The Iranian people must do that, with our help.

  • It's Time to Rally for Religious Freedom
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
What were people thinking as evidence accumulated that Nazi Germany was exterminating six million Jews and others? Apparently, they were thinking what many of us are now as 245 million Christians are being brutally persecuted in our time.
Until the Greatest Generation went to war to liberate Europe and ended the Holocaust, many here and elsewhere told themselves things like: “It’s not happening.” Or, if it is, “It’s none of our business.” “It can’t be as bad as some are claiming.” And, “The problem will go away if we don’t get involved in it.” Sound familiar?
On Wednesday, people who reject such excuses will gather in 15 cities across America. Please visit ReligiousFreedomRally.org, that’s ReligiousFreedomRally.org, to join us in learning the truth about the genocide of Christians occurring on our watch – and the practical things we can, and must, do to help.

  • Tucker's "Warmonger" Trope vs. Peace Through Strength
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
I am a pretty big fan of Tucker Carlson. His Fox News show is terrific, mostly. Last night, it aired a prized one-on-one interview with President Trump along with up-close footage of a sickly North Korean tyrant Kim Jong-Un and his security thugs from Mr. Trump’s visit to the Demilitarized Zone.
Unfortunately, that show was accompanied by Tucker’s umpteenth, uncritical interview with retired Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor. Like other frequent guests – including radical leftist Glenn Greenwald and American Conservative Magazine libertarians – the colonel promotes a vicious trope that Tucker endlessly repeats: namely, Washington’s awash with “war-mongers” led by National Security Advisor John Bolton.
Ronald Reagan – and Donald Trump – favor an alternative, both to avoidable wars and to what amounts to surrender in places like Korea, known as “peace through strength.” So does John Bolton. And so do I.

  • No Further U.S. Sales to 'Foreign Adversary' Huawei
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
Temporarily overshadowed by President Trump’s dramatic handshake with Kim Jong-Un at the Korean Demilitarized Zone yesterday was a commitment he made the day before to Kim’s patron: Communist China’s Xi Jinping.
The promise to Xi involved continued sales of U.S. equipment to Huawei – a Chinese telecommunications conglomerate now widely recognized as a weapon being used to advance his “China Dream” of world domination.  Mr. Trump himself has formally identified Huawei as a “foreign adversary,” whose networks and products constitute “a national emergency.”
Fortunately, Mr. Trump subsequently placed a caveat on further sales to Huawei, declaring: “I’m talking about equipment where there is no great national emergency problem with it.” As a practical matter, that means any assistance to Huawei’s competitiveness and efficiency – a bar that is likely to be established in forthcoming, bipartisan legislation adopted by veto-proof majorities.

  • China's Ag Crisis Means Trump Need Not Bail Out Xi
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
President Trump meets tomorrow with Communist China’s dictator-for-life, Xi Jinping. It may be the single most important conversation of his presidency.
On the line is whether Mr. Trump will continue systematically overhauling his bipartisan predecessors’ failed China policies or effectively revert to them. Wall Street, American businesses dependent on cheap Chinese imports and some U.S. allies are demanding that he do a trade deal with Xi, more or less on Beijing’s terms. Our national interests require that he doesn’t.
A timely article in the Daily Caller reveals that the President’s negotiating hand is being tremendously strengthened by pests destroying the PRC’s agricultural sector. Xi simply cannot continue retaliating for necessary Trump tariffs by impeding U.S. food imports.
Stay the course, Mr. President. Our economy and security depend on you thwarting Xi’s ominous “China Dream,” not bailing it out.

  • Open Border Democrats Own This Crisis
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
Yesterday, the New York Times’ published a heart-wrenching photograph of the prostrate corpses of a father and his small daughter drowned as they tried to enter this country illegally. The image recalled one of a little boy dead on a Turkish beach a few years back, which moved Europeans to admit millions of refugees at an enormous cost to the continent’s taxpayers, social fabric and security.
Democrats – including many seeking their party’s presidential nomination – not only sought to foster a similar response here. They actually tried shamelessly to portray this tragic event as President Trump’s fault.
The reality is very different. As long as his Democratic opponents thwart Mr. Trump’s efforts to secure the border and preserve the financial, sanctuary and other magnets attracting illegal migrants to this country, they own this crisis and must be held accountable for its terrible costs.
