We can acknowledge someone's divinity and hope they express their highest potential while also acknowledging that they make act through their lower vibes. Ignoring bad behavior while hoping someone will change can lead to a lot of heartache.
In this episode you'll learn how we can protect ourselves from being disappointed by acknowledging that humanity is, well, human and divinity is a choice.
One of our most challenging lessons is to accept others as they are and then make our own choices accordingly. Everyone is divine, we all have the same Source connection, and we are all connected to each other.
But each of us expresses the balance of human and divine in different ways. Seeing someone as divine and ignoring what their human aspect is doing is, to be honest, just silly. And those who insist that the world is full of sweetness and light and everything else can be ignored are not living in reality.
Although I first wrote this article in February 2013, it has been one of my most requested, most shared, and most loved articles as everyone can relate to this situation and we have all had relationships where we had big expectations for someone to become who or what wanted and were willing to ignore bad behavior because we just knew that their divine self would show up one day.
