  • 12. Letting Go of What No Longer Serves You

In life, we adopt different ideas, habits, behavior patterns, and even identities that serve us, especially during difficult times. And then the tough times pass, or we simply outgrow that time period, but we hang onto the same ideas, habits, and identities, even when they no longer serve us. They become a part of who we are, so it's hard to let go of them. They supported us at the difficult moments, they helped us cope, and now when it's time to move on and grow, we struggle to make the next step.

In today's podcast episode, I share a simple story to illustrate what happens when you refuse to let go of things and how you can start reflecting on what holds you back in 2023.

In this episode, I chat about:
    • A story about how what happens when you refuse to let go of things that no longer serve you

    • Reflecting on what holds you back in 2023

  • 11. How to Live a Flavorful Life

Welcome to another episode of Twofer Tuesday! Today, we dive into the power of reflection and absorbing the massive amount of information that we consume.

Everyday we consume an insane amount of information. You'll often hear, "We live in The Information Age." Any question you ask can be answered in 0.92847 seconds, thanks to the Almighty Google. We even sign up to get information delivered to our inbox or opt in for daily notifications on our phones.

But how much time do we actually spend soaking in that piece of information? Or do we just read a quote, or skim through a blog, and say, "Wow, that's so true!" and then move on with our lives?

It truly is wonderful that we have access to all this information but it's important that we actually absorb it, extract insights, digest it and allow the wisdom to soak in. Tune in as I dive into the importance of reflection in today's podcast episode!

In this episode, I chat about:
    • What role does reflection play in transformation

    • Why binge-ing on information isn't as good for you as you might think

    • How to take the time to extract and digest lessons from your experiences

Have you ever noticed how we as humans tend to jump to the worst-case scenario? Or how we make things more nefarious than they really are? Trust me, it's not just you. It's all of us. • 08. I Ran a Marathon, Here Is What I Learned

I ran a MARATHON! Woohoo!! You have no idea how long I have been waiting to say it out loud! Running the Honolulu Marathon was my dream and it finally came true. It took me nearly nine hours to finish it, so please don't think that I ran the entire time. Either way, it was incredibly painful, and extremely satisfying.

As you can imagine, I had a lot of time to think while running. Specifically on one's mindset during trials and tribulation. I decided to record some of my "musings" on the run and now I'm sharing them with you.

My biggest realization was how similar running a marathon is to our  journey toward success. Along the way, you will absolutely face challenges, disappointments, and triumphs. And it's up to you to choose to observe your mindset, and reframe the limiting beliefs so you can accomplish your goals faster, or you can let them hold you back.

I hope this episode will help you navigate your own mindset challenges on your way to success!

In this episode, I chat about:
    • My experience running a marathon
    • Responding to obstacles and roadblocks
    • Do you make a mountain out of a molehill?
    • How do you perceive people around you?
    • Choosing a pacesetter
    • Understanding your influence on others, whether you are aware of it or not
    • What stuck with me the most from my marathon experience
    • If you were to die tomorrow, would you be proud of who you are and what you have accomplished so far
    • What success looks like to you
