Habit 7 which is covered in this episode is “Speaking when angry”.

In this episode I briefly explain Habit # 5, which is about the use of the words “No”, “But” or “However”. In a conversation with your friends, colleagues or anyone else that share ideas, thoughts with you, how often do you use these words? Know this and find ways to avoid this habit through self awareness and other ways in this episode.

In Habit #1 ,spoken about in episode 2 , we saw how the urge to win, at all times, costs us dearly in human relations, paving the way for failure, instead of success.

Habit #2 and Habit #3 deal with the tendency of “Adding too much value” and “Passing judgement” in human situations.

Welcome to this 10 th and final episode in season 2 , dealing with Managing oneself and knowing who you are, forming part of the 10 keys to leadership at work. 

Peter F Drucker says “Success in the knowledge economy comes to those who know themselves - their strengths, their values, and how they best perform”. He says that there are great men in history, such as a Napolean, a Da Vinci or a Mozart, who have managed themselves very well – but they are exceptions. Not everyone knows how to manage themselves well. Most of us have to learn to manage ourselves”. We think that we know what we are good at and what we are bad at. Unfortunately, in both we are wrong.

In this episode I will speak on key no 9, which is Successful managers are well organized. This is part of my book “Seeds of success – a manager's handbook”, which identifies the 10 keys to be a leader at your work place 

Do you think there is too much pressure on your time and you are a victim of work life imbalance, and feel frustrated at not being able to give enough time to yourself and your family? Or too many things left undone? You will then need to listen to this episode. You will understand what is being organized and how to get organized. It is one of the strengths of successful managers that they are well organized at work. and in life in general.

In this episode I will speak on key no 8, to succeed in the work place, which is “PUTTING ONESELF IN THE SHOES OF THE BOSS”.

 Most managers and employees are a boss and a subordinate at the same time. Much is written and talked about of what it is to be a good boss. Unfortunately, much less about what it is to be a good subordinate. This probably is reflective of the sympathies that people carry to the “Under dog” in general. People are more sympathetic to the less powerful. In one survey, when the employees were asked what do you expect from your boss, there were nine expectations that were mentioned. When asked what do you owe to your boss, only four expectations came out.
