I became interested in blood sugar when I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) last year. Knowing that this is a blood sugar-related disorder I did some research and found out a shocking stat. According to the CDC, 96 million Americans are prediabetic. This number rocked me when I looked into it, so I felt compelled to spread awareness.
With this diagnosis I knew it was an opportunity to take a closer look into my blood sugar and begin wearing a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) to prevent such diseases. Knowing that 1 in 3 people are pre-diabetic, CGM's will be the key to stabilizing blood sugar for the future. Here are my key takeaways from wearing a CGM from Levels Health for one month.
