In this episode we're joined by three special guests.
First is Mal Monk kennel attendant and part of our released dog adoption team. We're going to be talking about what happens to the dogs who become pet dogs. We talk about the adoptions process and how we find the best homes for dogs who weren't suited for the role. If you're interested in welcoming a released Seeing Eye Dog into your home, this interview will help you work out how to get the best match for you. To find out about the dogs we have available for adoption head to our website on the current released dogs page.
Secondly we have an interview from the archives, Seeing Eye Dogs kennel attendant and vet nurse Steve Tocci comes to chat with us about some hot weather care tips for your dog. Coming into summer months, this is great information that will help you keep your dog happy and healthy.
Last but not least, we have Seeing Eye Dogs veterinarian and reproduction manager Dr Nicola Cotton with some important information about lameness and injury. Dr Nicola answers your questions about injury in otherwise healthy dogs, how to recognise any issues, seeking treatment and preventing further injury.

We are looking for puppy carers now so if you're keen to raise a puppy to hopefully become a Seeing Eye Dog we'd like to hear from you! It's an incredibly rewarding experience, with training provided. Carers need time, patience and love to give to a puppy, so if you want to commit to a year of puppy raising, we would love your help. If you live in the North Brisbane or Sunshine Coast regions of Queensland or in Victoria in Geelong, Bendigo and select areas of metro Melbourne (listed on our Website) get in touch to find out about volunteering with us or apply now via our website.
