What if we were to take 10 seconds, just 10 seconds, to close our eyes and breathe?
What if we took those 10 seconds to breathe, more than just one time a day? And what if we made it a conscious part of our practice, and routine, to make sure that we breathe?
I'm learning and realizing that our breath is extremely tied to who we are, and our willingness to express who we are.
In today’s bonus episode, I explore why we hold our breath and what it would really mean if we really let it out, instead of holding it in.

Happy #SeekTheJoy Tuesday! On the podcast this week is Elana Lyn Gross, freelance journalist and the founder of the personal and professional development website, Elana Lyn.
I was SO excited to chat with Elana for Seek The Joy Podcast. I’ve been following along for about a year, and her blog has been such an incredible resource for me both professionally and personally. On today's episode we chat all about how Elana got started blogging, what it's been like making her writing public, sharing her voice, vulnerability, and passions with the world, and taking a leap of faith to transition into writing full-time. We also talked about remaining authentic, how she's been able to resist the urge to compare herself to others, what turning 30 taught her, developing self-love and self-care habits (like a great morning and evening routine!), joy in her life, and Elana also shares some amazing advice for aspiring freelance writers.

Welcome back to The Power of Storytelling!
I cannot believe that we are in the fifth (!!) month of this series. This month's episode reminded me that expression comes in many forms. There isn't one way to express your creativity, love, joy, connection, and voice. As long as you're sharing your story, truth, and voice the way that you want to share it - that's all that matters.
Mai and Belinda, thank you for sharing your stories, your truth, and your vulnerability this month with all of us. Your stories are raw, vulnerable, and inspiring.
To learn more about today's episode and to connect with the amazing women who shared their stories, head over to the show notes section of our website seekthejoypodcast.com/thepowerofstorytelling5
If you want to be part of our storytelling series, visit the Share Your Story section of our website. Fill out our interest form - and we'll get back to you ASAP. Our next episode will air June 21st, so make sure to send in your story by June 13th!
