Todd Sivertson grew up in Holliday Utah with his parents and two younger brothers. They were the only neighbors in their ward boundaries who weren’t members of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. At the age of 18, Todd heard the missionaries tell him about the plan of salvation and he joined the church. He went on to serve a mission in the Washington DC area and learned to love and serve those he was around. Todd continued that same work after returning home from his mission and marrying Rachelle. With five children and his businesses, Todd is constantly asking Heavenly Father about how he can love and serve God’s children through normal and natural ways. Dave and Cathy gotten married later in life. When they try to get pregnant they were having complications with miscarriages. Gratefully, they had their first daughter Anna 3 years after they got married. Unfortunately they were not able to have anymore biological children. They knew they wanted a larger family. They decided that they wanted to apply and work towards being foster parents. Over the last 15 years they have had different children come to their home. They were able to adopt three other foster children that they were given. While preparing for a RS lesson sister Susan Porter mentioned in her April 2022 general conference talk about the maid of naamans wife. It led my mind to some thoughts about small mentions in the scriptures of individuals who seem insignificant but have great significance. They’re unexpected answers from unexpected people.

December 2021, leading up to Christmas Amber had taken Elsie to the doctors because of abnormal issues that Elsie was experiencing. After a couple trips to the doctors, Amber and Aaron got the news that every parent dreads. Their youngest daughter Elsie was diagnosed with cancer. Elsie had a Wilms Tumor, cancer on the kidneys. In a matter of hours their life was turned upside down. Elsie underwent surgery to remove the tumor on her kidney and then began radiation & chemotherapy. With three other children at home they share their journey of trying to continue in faith while struggling with the unknown. Join me today as Amber and Aaron share their story.

Mary and Glenn were married in 1971 when Mary was just 17 years old. Glenn worked for US Bank and attended college. They welcomed 5 children into their family over a 14 year span. Glenn loved to serve others and participate in his children's lives. After 46 years of marriage, Glenn started having stomach pain and reached out to his doctor for help. He was then diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Glenn lived for 8 months before he passed away. Join me as Mary shares their story, her testimony and Glenn's legacy.
