Soli Deo Gloria — To God Alone Be the Glory!

The “heat dome” over much of the United States is the main topic this week (besides the NATO summit). I’ve lived in Phoenix, AZ for 18 years and I’m used to 3-4 months of over 100 degree heat. It’s the opposite of living in the Northeast where I grew up. Here, we stay inside in the cool air conditioning as much as possible. Up north is the winter months where we stay inside in the warmth. At least, I don’t have to shovel snow!

So far, Phoenix has had 15 consecutive days with temps over 110. The record is 18 set in 1974. See, it’s happened before! Obviously, we’re going to break that record this next week.

I think God is giving us a taste of His coming judgment on the world when He will judge the world with fire. What am I referring to? Hang in there till the end. A lot of prophetic things happened this week Here’s this wrap-up…

Confident: feeling or showing certainty about something.

Certainty: the firm conviction that something is the case; a fact that is definitely true or an event that is definitely going to take place; a person or thing that may be relied on. Now that you know what it is, I ask, “Is your heart confident in God?” Let’s look at this week’s Psalm…

Soli Deo Gloria — To God Alone Be the Glory!

Since we are living in the last days, it’s a good idea to start with a prayer… Sovereign God, Jesus, Name above all names, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. You alone are God of all the kingdoms of the earth. You alone created the heavens and the earth.

Father, oh how we need You. This world is out of control! But You are still in control, and You are working in ways we can’t imagine to bring good out of this. Keep us humble before Your throne, looking to You for our hope. In Jesus’ mighty Name we pray, Amen.

Soli Deo Gloria — To God Alone Be the Glory!

Between increasing unrest and lawlessness, wars and rumors of wars, throw in terrorism and persecution, and we’ve got a very dark and evil world. We can ask — where is God’s Mercy? Where is His Light of Life? What’s more, how much longer do we have to live in this darkness?

In this psalm, we can feel David’s fear and pain, but we also realize that our answer, our light, is not in this world. Let’s dig in…

Soli Deo Gloria — To God Alone Be the Glory!

Jesus warned us, "Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom." The Greek word for "nation" is "ethnos" from which we get our words "ethnic" and "ethnicity". It's also translated as "people group" against "people group". This is found in His Olivet Discourse in Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13. Additionally, He said, "But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come." Friend, that's what we're seeing in France right now -- the birth pains of the last days.

Soli Deo Gloria — To God Alone Be the Glory!

En español 1.3: Construye tu vida sobre una base fuerte y sólida

En mi vida, he sobrevivido a seis huracanes.
