March is racing by and this week Sean and David have had a chance to play some of the new Mario Kart 8 tracks. Is it as fun as Rainbow Road back on the N64 or is it a Blue Shell that keeps knocking you down? They'll share their thoughts and if they think Nintendo is on the right track... see what we did there? And bustin' makes us feel good. So good that we're super excited for the upcoming Ghostbusters game. The guys let you know about their hopes and dreams for this upcoming co-op shooter. And what would an SOS episode be without some good ol TV talk? To David's delight, Wanda Vision won't be getting a season 2 and Sean comes to terms with what the pandemic has done to the Marvel timeline. Speaking of timelines. The difficulty of finding a pre-order for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has left the guys wondering if it's even worth pre-ordering games anymore. Not like the days gone by where you'd get some sweet swag, things have changed in 2022 and Sean and David are wondering what's the fate of the pre-order.
There's magic in the air. Sean and David are dreaming of Wizards and Warlocks and Witches and their Wardrobes.... well not quite. But the new Hogwarts game play has piqued their interest. But while they wait some new Mario Kart DLC is finally available and there's plenty more to come. And what would an episode be without some movie discussion? The Batman is still on the to-watch list, but are the guys going to run out to theaters to see it or are they going to take their time and watch Turning Red before they care about The Dark Knight?
March is well under way and David finally saw Spider-Man No Way Home. But it wasn't the enjoyable experience he was hoping for. Speaking of experiences, Nintendo has dropped out of a major tournament which has left us wondering why. And across the galaxy the hunt for remaining Jedi continues. We finally got the Kenobi trailer and it's got the guys very excited. Is it going to be better than The Book of Boba Fett, or will it be a bunch of bantha fodder?
The guys are taking it up a notch today. The Dark Knight has risen again and we're wondering how this latest reboot will take the character. And keeping with reboots, remakes and re-releases. Nintendo dropped a new Pokemon trailer out of nowhere and Sean and David are quite hopeful for this one. And out of the shadows lurks another. A new voice to grace your ear drums. Sean and David welcome Max to the show. Max brings fresh insight into the mix and plenty of laughs. Talking about new movies, and how streaming continues to affect movie theaters and new game releases for March. This is an episode where we're taking it to the Max!
After a long break Sean, David and Owen are back! It's been hard getting together regularly to play games. Sometimes you just need to sit down with one other person and play a two player game. This week the guys talk about their favourite 2 player games and what makes them so great. Sometimes the best games are ones that don't require 3-4 players!
Things are back to normal with Sean and David now that The Book of Boba Fett is in the past. This week Nintendo has finally allowed video streaming on the Nintendo Switch, but it's not exactly what we hoped for and we fast forward to the year 2077 to see if CD Projekt Red has managed to fix the ill fated Cyberpunk 2077 a year after release. And things mix up a bit with a special appearance by someone you may or may not know. There's a lot to unpack and this isn't an episode you want to miss!
A Long Long Time Ago.... Join Sean, David and their guest Jay Bartlett as they discuss The Book of Boba Fett and how they feel about it. Has Disney made another hit, or is this a book for the shelf? The guys dissect the episodes, characters and direction of the series and share their hopes for the future of Star Wars. And you asked, so we'll answer. Our listeners submitted their Star Wars inquiries and we're here to answer. From who's sidekick we'd be to how we think the Kenobi series will turn out, this episode is chock full of Star Wars goodies. May The Force be with you.
This week was filled with some major announcements and Sean and David couldn't be more excited. Nintendo had a earth shattering direct filled with some big announcements. Nintendo has pulled out the big guns this year and is giving gamers a lot to look forward to in the next 6 months. The guys finish off strong with a special announcement that you won't want to miss!
This week Sony brings the heat! Finally able to throw punches back at Microsoft, they managed to purchase the developer that put the Xbox in the spotlight. That's right, the creator of Halo is now under ownership of Sony. Does this mean that they will soon be getting the next Halo killer, or will Destiny just become a free to play Sony exclusive? And speaking of purchases, Sean is going to save $79.99 plus tax because he's decided to cancel his pre-order for Dying Light 2, because well.. it seems like it's dead on arrival. Not being fooled again after the Cyberpunk 2077 fiasco, Sean and David are thinking of going back to the new but old series of Pokemon. After playing a bit of Arceus, they're considering becoming the very best and catching them all.
This week the guys wonder if we've been spoiled over the pandemic. New TV shows seem to be coming out left and right but is there anything to be excited for? Have streaming platforms ruined the movie theater experience and taken away the thrill of new releases? The guys were pretty excited for the Book of Boba Fett, but it hasn't left Sean or David all too happy. Were they correct in their theory for how to fix the series? 5 Episodes in has it started to turn around? And with January in the rear view mirror the guys look at the upcoming games in February.
