Variants are everywhere. This week Sean and David discuss what is the same, yet different in the newly announced Steam Deck. Valves take on the handheld market. Is this the Nintendo Switch Pro that we've always wanted? And it looks like Marvel is back on the menu. Both the guys have finally seen Black Widow, and David has some opinions about it. And lastly you've been asking for it. Sean and David finally discuss Loki.... or maybe that was in a different timeline.
Things are starting to open up and David might finally go to the movie theater after almost two years. Sean on the other hand is perfectly content with watching the latest films in the comfort of his home. Supporting Disney in any way that he can, the guys discuss how Black Widow has managed to best Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker's opening week AND during a pandemic. Are movie back on the menu for the guys? Not before they see what Sony has on the menu. With the July State of Play, Sony had the chance to wow us with some upcoming games for the PS4 and PS5. Is it enough to keep Sean and David inside? Or are the movie theaters calling their names?
On this weeks episode Sean, David and Owen discuss Kickstarter and how it's affected the tabletop hobby. In only a few years tabletop games have become one of the top categories on the crowdfunding platform, but is that a good thing? The guys discuss how they feel about Kickstarter and if it's a good or bad thing for the future of board games. And every crowdfunding campaign wouldn't be complete without a little FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). Is it a sleazy marketing technique or is it worth all the extra minis?
Can you smell what Sean and David are cookin? This week they're serving up a hefty dose of some gaming goodies and discuss the newest Nintendo Switch version. The question they're asking is "Who Is The Nintendo Switch OLED Model For, Exactly?". Is this just a slap in the face of everyone hoping for a Switch Pro, or is this just one part of a bigger plan? And for dessert, the guys figure out what The Rock is cooking and play their new game "Cash or Crap" and decide once and for all if Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is actually worth his weight in cinematic gold or is he no better than a potato bug found under a rock.
The summer sun is shining, and Sean and David just finished enjoying their Holiday Thursday. But it's back to work now and they've got a great show this week! Sony and Microsoft have both announced their July free game offerings and it seems like Microsoft isn't trying anymore. But with their Gamepass service, do they even need to? Breaking down the July free games, David and Sean wonder is it even worth paying for Xbox Live Gold, without the Gamepass subscription. There are some rumors about GTA V and David discovered a new music game that makes him feel like a DJ.
This week Sean, David and Owen talk about the game that started it all for them. Betrayal at House on the Hill, by Avalon Hill is a 2004 board game that David and Owen can't talk about enough. The party is over, you can all go home. E3 is but a distant memory and things are back to normal for Sean and David. This week the guys give their thoughts on Bethesda's apology to Sony fans, their final thoughts about E3, Nintendo's post-direct announcement and The Bachelor for Furries. (Yeah, you read the correctly). We're back to our regular scheduled programming and this episode is not one you want to miss!
The dust has started to settle. E3 2021 might be over, but Sean and David aren't finished just yet. With a few days to think things over, they come to you with their takes on the Ubisoft and Nintendo presentations.
