I spoke to Lynn Thomas on Sept 13, 2022. We have a wonderful talk about intuition, nature, healing, mental health and understanding how things don't always land the way we expect them too and yet usually end up being even better than were thought it could be. 

Lynn Thomas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, receiving her Master’s of Social Work from the University of Utah in 1995. She first developed a program integrating horses as a primary treatment component while serving as Executive Director of Aspen Ranch, a residential boarding school for troubled adolescents.

In 1999, Lynn co-founded Eagala, the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association, providing training and certification in the Eagala Model of incorporating horses in psychotherapy. In the 21 years she served as its CEO, Lynn built Eagala into a leading organization in the area of horses for mental health.

Lynn co-founded and presently serves as CEO of Arenas for Change (ARCH), an organization focused on a values-based community learning and supporting one another in facilitation concepts that increase emotional safety and deepen client stories bringing healing and change in mental health and overall well-being. Thanks to the work over the years of Lynn and her team, involving horses in psychotherapy sessions has gone from a little-known approach to a widely accepted and credible mental health option, backed by research.

With Lynn’s experience, vision, and passion for the impact horses have on well-being, she co-founded Horses for Mental Health (HMH) in 2021 to build momentum, expand the movement, and uplift programs worldwide to impact and strengthen global mental health through horses.

I spoke with Lynn Mann on Aug 8, 2022. It was delightful to hear her journey into her career as a writer and how just doing the next thing and not being afraid to go wherever that lead her brought so much into her life.

Lynn Mann has been drawn to horses since she was a small child. While always very confident with them
whilst on the ground, she found riding them to be scary and exhilarating in equal measure, and often
wondered why she was so addicted to horses when she found riding them such a challenging experience.
Then, whilst fitting saddles at a rescue centre in 1999, she came across a blue-eyed, piebald mare, named
Pie, with whom she instantly connected very deeply. She adopted the mare and spent the next eighteen
years loving her, learning from her and changing markedly as a result. She learnt so much from Pie that she
couldn’t contain it all – her first novel, The Horses Know, spilled out of her onto her laptop, and was
published in 2016. She is now a fulltime author and as of August 2022, there are nine books in The Horses
Know series.

I spoke to Isabel on July 5, 2022. We spoke about the winding road of sorts that we can go on with the work we do in the world and also how we don't always need to know the whole picture before we take the leap and follow our intuition. It was wonderful to learn more about Isabel and the journey she has been on in the last few years.

Isabel is a Fire Team K-9's Dog trainer, Child and Youth Care worker, and a tour guide at Llama-Zing Adventures. Her passions are helping people live happier and healthier lives through pet therapy and to care for animals. 

Isabel offers therapy dog visits with her two certified therapy dogs, Ralph (Newfoundland) and Hachi (Saint Bernard). She also trains dogs and has experience working with many domestic animals, farm animals, even a Camel, parrot, racoons and more.

Growing up, Isabel was always extremely interested in animals, especially dogs. She had her first dog, Tobi, when she was 5 years old. Being sensitive to energies, experiencing reoccurring nightmares and anxiety, Tobi helped her feel safe. She knew dogs were created to help humans.

After working 13 years as a Pharmacy Technician, Isabel felt she needed to change careers and follow her passions to become a Child and Youth Care Worker and to work with animals. Being a single mom of two at the time, she took a leap of faith and trusted that the universe had her back. Since then, she is living her dream, as a dog trainer and tour guide on a farm. Life also gifted her a third child and many more pets along her new journey.

I spoke to Ainsley Beauchamp June 27, 2022. We spoke about how her different careers all have lead her where she is today and also how she uses her intuition in her work and in her life. It was interesting to see what it has brought into her life and what she has brought to her work and her clients with her intuition,

Ainsley Beauchamp is a certified equine therapist working with horses and dogs. She takes a multidimensional approach using integrated therapies, with structural alignment, massage, acupressure, stretching and positional release, and craniosacral for hands on; she’s also a Reiki Master and PSYCH-K facilitator to help address the animal’s mental, emotional and spiritual bodies along with the physical.

Prior to becoming an animal bodyworker, she was an owner/operator/head guide/dishwasher/general dogsbody in a horseback vacation company, taking experienced riders out for multi day rides through the local backcountry. Spending countless hours each day in the company of horses, she found her way to becoming one with the herd; each day she and her equine partners would head out into the mountains to do the days work together, with lots of laughter and heartfelt moments. Horses not only helped to fine tune her intuition, but being in the wilderness in the good company of good horses brought her to a place of peace and belonging.

Back in the day, she’s also worked in human healthcare (both labour and delivery and geriatrics), real estate and other tourism/service jobs.

Ainsley lives in small town Princeton, British Columbia with her long time best friend and husband, Damon; included in the family are three magical geriatric horses, an imperious cat named Mrs. Della Hedgewitch and an exceptionally bouncy puppy named Splash.

Practicing energy work and healing for over twenty years now, Ainsley uses intuition to inform not only her bodywork sessions, but as a guiding force in life. Trusting in her own intuition has helped unfurl a meandering path through a life full of unexpected and delightful opportunities.

I spoke with Poppy Phillips on June 7, 2022. We discovered a few things we have in common. A love of animals and a desire to help them as well as muscle testing and our believe systems and how they all intertwine with intuition. It was great to hear Poppy tell her path to her current place in the world.

What Poppy Phillips is best known for is her prayer /muscle testing technique that offers animals a voice through the Holy Spirit. She was mentored  in muscle testing by the amazing research nuclear scientist, rabbi, naturopath, and muscle tester Lewis W Mayron PhD during a couple life threatening health crisis and healing chronic allergies.  It changed her life forever. She implemented his technique then added prayer to the process. The answers became conversational not just yes/no answers and detailed to a prophetic  level of future events. Poppy has served animals from around the world including well known Hollywood entertainment elites’ animals.

Through her and her animals’  life threatening adversities Poppy founded Equine Alternatives, LLC in 1998 and Holistic Animal Insights around 2010. She is a board certified Animal Naturopath, certified in pet homeopathy, certified animal iridologist, certified equine body worker, certified AI tech for horse husbandry, and has studied animal and human nutrition. Poppy was on her way to getting her human dietitian license but did not believe in the now debunked food pyramid and dropped out of the conventional school system to pursue her passion for holistic wellness.  Poppy does her own her own custom and commercial animal herbal blends, has an online  holistic animal membership, hosts online summits, and offers remote and in-person sessions.
