The 90s were all about discovery. Seiyuu units were just starting to be a thing and there was still plenty of new, unknown path left to trail. The excitement was palpable and the new ideas and concepts that emerged in this decade would end up influencing generations of seiyuu units.

Seiyuu becoming singers is not something that started in the 90s – as much as that decade ended up defining a generation and influencing a whole lot of seiyuu units -, it started in the 70s with the first-ever seiyuu unit; a male seiyuu unit.
