We're not talking about Jim Morrison when saying we're gonna light your fire. We're talking about everyone's favorite stages in video games, the fire level. Uncle Arthur from Bewitched makes an appearance, and we talk about upcoming comic movies we'll never see, ever. You've stocked up your lives and here comes the magma to balance them out. Even though they're a pain, there's a lot of good music emanating from the heat; the heat is on.

Enter a world of fantasy with this episode. What's this? You hear a gnome exclaim "Da Plains Boss!, Da Plains!", and then use up all of your elixirs, herbs, and tents battling a most magnificent boss. Upon victory, you seek respite at the nearest save point, and in your weakened state, the sneaky little gnome gives you respite, in Hell! Tune in and listen to the minstrel's tales of overworlds, plains, forests, maps, and the open wilderness.

The bag is open so reach in and grab. I promise it's not poop. Select BGM brings you a selection of songs that we just couldn't fit into past themes. Songs Rich and Jon just want you to hear because they're damn good. We also play songs not within the video game genre but have a direct influence on its development. Remember the end theme from the Japanese TV show, Saiyuki? Neither do we. The choice is ours at Chuck-a-Rama.

Ain't no party like a demo party! Lot's of tunes from demoscene Freax this week putting the cool into computing. Pop the disk in DF0: and get ready for some computer magic, then glide on into the modern age where demos will make your head Spin. Commodore 64, Amiga 500, and PC are here of course, and this week the Atari 130xe makes a guest appearance. So pop some Solskogen into your pouch, and enjoy!

A beginning is a very delicate time, know then, that you really just need to grab a side arm and rush forward and spread bullets without regard. Run and Gun down your opponents and feel the power of the glory like Cru Jones as your field thunder is let loose upon unsuspecting cannon fodder. Things are bloody enjoyable, so sit back and enjoy jumping your virtual motorcycle over razor wire while listening to old TDK 90 minute tapes of Mega Man and Turrican.

Join us on a reflective journey through the credits at the end of the universe as the secrets to everything are revealed, starting with the Muppets and concluding with an unbeatable Impossible Mission. Things get grody as we talk about a very Utah thing of changing swear words into alternatives, alternatives which are sometimes far worse than what they are replacing. Technology, the entertainment drug, will hit a reset button when the VR revolution happens, or will it? Kick back and enjoy the songs, because sometimes that's all that remains at the end of your trek.

We're seasoning with the number 2! Welcome back to the show for our take on, Livin' in The City. Themes that are town, city and metropolitan based. Remember where you bought that item, slept in that Inn, or felt the groove of a jazzy tune? That's this week's show and Geordi makes it go. Why talk politics when you can talk about Scarecrow and Mrs. King? We'll find out in this riveting episode of, Select BGM.

We crack that whip strap mean as we deliver the goods in this Season 1 best-of episode, where we play our favorite tracks from each other's themed episodes. Fictional religious tribes are invented, we don't earn any shower points, and Kevin Arnold's buddy Paul is compared to Kevin Owens from Mr. Belvedere because of course they both went on to become Marilyn Manson... FACT. We discuss a little bit about the British gaming scene of the 80s, and of course Space Commander Jon puts on his Commander Data hat and shares stats about the first season. Get it while it's hot.

Episode 12 and Season 1 are in the books! This episode we focus on themes from fighting games or, "things that make you go hadouken!" Rich looks at the more obscure selections while Jon gazes to the East for more traditional melody memories. Valentines is in the air and the cynicism can be cut with a well sharpened shiv. We also rag on 50 Shades of Grey and The Hobbit 2: The Hobbiting. We'll return next week with the season's best of selection, and pick up the show again with Season 2 come the weekend of March 14th.

Freaky scary ghosts yo! This episode is full of spooky themes. Creepy dolls swaying like marionettes to the symphony of destruction, except more Mega Man than Megadeth.
