In this episode of Self / Aware, we brought back our second installment of Being Aware of Others, a time where we get to talk to other walks of life and their journey. In this episode we talked to Maria Eduarda, a local yoga teacher in Columbus Ohio, a soulful human who embodies light and truth. We talked about so much in this episode, but Maria opened up about her journey into yoga and her teachings of inclusive movement within the practice for all. Additionally, we dug deep into the topic of shame and trauma, and the individuality that is trauma in itself for each person. Lastly, we dove deep into eating disorders, her love for EDM but also her journey through the scene, and her mandala art. If Maria could introduce herself, she would say “Hi, I’m Maria and I cry in Savasana”, so go say hi to her on Instagram at @thechubbyogi and if you are in the Columbus area, check out her teaching schedule at Yoga On High and get your flow on!
