For when you want to bathe in love <3
If you're feeling low, borrow a little love from me, see if it kickstarts the warm fuzzies.
May you be healthy
May you be joyful
May you be at ease
May you be free from pain
May you be free from suffering
May you be known and loved
May you know peace
Join me in a stimming meditation for soothing parts (or inner children) that have felt misunderstood, broken, alone.
Grab your rocking chair, a hammock, or another way to sway and swing and rock from side to side. We'll combine vestibular swinging with repetitive breathing, then add some affirmations speaking directly to parts within that have been chronically misunderstood, that carry shame or fear or pain, that have felt broken.
Join me for a meditation to help rewire experiences that feel anxious, fearful, angry, resentful, or frustrated. Using the Constructed Emotion Theory, we'll first regulate (through stimming - breathing, tapping, chanting, singing, rocking, humming, etc.), then relabel what's happening (staying with the physiological responses - and avoiding jumping to emotional labels to describe the experience), and finally rewire our brain's predictive perception of emotions - thus expanding our ability to tolerate uncertainty and to know it as the neutral experience it can be.
Add music to your stim sessions - no need to call it dancing, if that's not your thing.
Layer dopamine. Add fun lights, good smells. Pick a song you love; pick a song whose emotions you want to feel.
Join me, then create your own <3
Join me in an abbreviated loving kindness meditation - assisted in my case by my 17-year-old cat GG <3
How exactly do I listen to my body? For those of us with alexithymia, "listen to your body" is a nonsense phrase. Join me as I check in with my bodymind and my parts, assisted by my (wise, wizened) 17-year-old cat GG
Join me on a walking meditation! Many of us ND folks access flow state more easily when we stack dopamine, stack activities. Sure, sitting still and getting quiet feels good - but I rarely feel motivated to do so. But add vestibular movement and the wind on my skin and the song of the birds - and I'm much more motivated to meditate. Join me. Use this as a jumping off point for more walking meditations in your life.
Somatic stimming often gets shamed out of us early on. Reclaim your body, reclaim your access to the joy and magic of stimming.
This experimental meditation is a starting point. Listen and follow along, listen and use it as a launching pad for finding and reclaiming your own stimming practice.

Our inner weirdness is also our divine connection. Our essential task in life is to awaken to the way that the eternal would speak through us, to learn to live out our intended personality and the inner weirdness that makes us a unique torchbearer of the flame of life.
