Five years ago, Hayley Santell started her company, MADI Apparel after learning the statistic that underwear is the most-needed and under-donated item of clothing in the U.S., and new underwear tops the most-urgent needs list of nearly every domestic violence shelter. Hayley has built a company that donates a pair of underwear to women around the world for every piece of apparel sold. This is the story of how she started MADI Apparel and has created both a retail store as well as a non-profit that aids women in her community.

Jaime shares her journey of how she slowly built The Pursuit of Cocktails, a company of punny plastic wine glasses and sassy straws, on the side all while working a successful career at Nike. Chaunte shares her journey of how her life of training and competing has brought her to the biggest fight of all – her battle against breast cancer. At first, Chaunte thought her dream of competing at the Tokyo Olympics was over, but doctors encouraged her to continue to train and now she's more motivated than ever to qualify for the Olympics and use her platform to spread awareness on early detection of breast cancer.

It was just a few years ago that Modern Picnic founder, Ali Kaminetsky, graduated from college, moved to New York City and landed her first job in retail. While bringing her lunch to work each day was easier, cheaper and healthier, her options to carry her lunch were not the cutest as she resorted to paper bags, plastic bags or old shopping bags. She looked online for a more fashionable option and came up with nothing.

So, Ali made it her new mission to makeover the lunchbox and created Modern Picnic, a chic lunch bag company that provides working women with a fashionable alternative to the traditional lunchbox we all know (and hate). The stylish bags are created with insulated interiors, vegan leather exteriors and hold many purposes outside of just lunch. As NY Times recently said, is it a handbag or a purse? Modern Picnic's stylish alternative to a traditional lunchbox makes it hard to tell. Ali shares how she went from her idea to self funding and launching Modern Picnic in 2018, all by the age of 24.

On today's episode, I'm introducing you to Camille Finan, a bad ass entrepreneur that broke barriers and proved that women could be carpenters…and truthfully, do it better than men. Camille went to college for business and marketing and built a successful practice as a business consultant out of college. But, wasn't fulfilled and wanted so much more.
