Anytime you notice more of what you want out in the world, you should celebrate that! Jealousy can feel uncomfortable and even fill us with a sense of shame. But instead, I want you to listen to this episode to learn how to transmute jealousy and see it as a compass in your life.
I remember when I first got started in the online space, I’d look at creators with thousands of followers and immediately jump to jealousy. But I didn’t want to sit in that energy for too long. And I’m sure you’ve come against moments like this in your journey! When we experience jealousy, we want to make sure that we’re operating from our own definition of success.
It’s easy to create an illusion of success and go after that. But what does success actually mean to you? Once that’s clearly defined, you can start to see these pockets of envy as opportunities. I believe that the more I’m noticing what I want, the more clearly attuned I’m becoming to my personal dreams, the closer I’m getting to them. It’s not a matter of if I’ll get what I want, it’s a matter of when. This mindset shift has dramatically changed my relationship with jealousy and I hope this conversation will help you do the same!

Having goals, dreams, and passions to work towards is a guiding light in our lives. But how can we move through our current circumstances with acceptance, even if the end destination feels far away?
Today, I’m taking you through a practice that has been fundamental for me in the day to day pursuit of my goals. Here’s the thing - there’s an underlying feeling associated with everything you want. If you want a new relationship, you want to feel loved. If you want to start a business, maybe you want to feel more fulfilled.
If we can get to the root of the feeling we’re trying to access, we can feel that feeling right now. We actually don’t have to delay gratification until the moment we achieve our dreams. But what about the pain that exists in the now? What if I told you that running from the pain is only making it bigger?
I’m going to tell you all about the technique I use personally, and with clients, to move through our pain bodies. After going to a meditation retreat, I was stunned to see the effects of sitting with my pain and actually paying attention to it. This has been the ultimate key to acceptance for me and everyone I’ve worked with.

No one is above you. No one is below you. I’ve worked with CEOs of large corporations and people right out of college. You know what they all had in common? They all had insecurities. We might be traversing through a different context, in a different identity. But at the end of the day, we all struggle with comparison from time to time.
“How does everyone have it together, except for me?” We’ve all asked ourselves this question at some point. Especially now, with social media as such a huge cornerstone in our lives, comparison can feel inescapable. You know what I think the antidote is? Vulnerability.
Most people aren’t opening up about their struggles online. Every time we’re scrolling through Instagram, it’s a highlight reel. But what happens when you open up about more than the highlights? It can feel scary, but people really rally together. Suddenly, people start coming out of the woodwork to say “I’ve experienced that too!”
We can empower each other by inviting each other into our stories. The ultimate act of care can only come when people know you need it. Stop comparing your behind-the-scenes with others' highlights, to honor your own pace and individuality, and to recognize that everyone is navigating similar struggles.

Has uncertainty ever disappointed you? Sure, uncertainty can scare you. Uncertainty can confuse you. But after you’ve waded through the waters on uncertainty, have you ever come out on the other side disappointed? I asked a client this question recently. You know what she said? No. Uncertainty has always allowed the universe to surprise me.
There are times in our lives when we think we know exactly what we want and exactly how to get there. But I’d argue that we’re often perpetuating past experiences when we feel this way. Uncertainty comes along when we start to pave a new path. This doesn’t mean it’s suddenly a fun experience to be uncertain. But it’s important not to bypass uncertainty in an effort to feel more comfortable.
So many people are living their lives trying to dodge discomfort and uncertainty at every turn. But if we really dig into our wildest dreams, do we think we can get there without uncertainty? I definitely don’t think I could. I look up to people in my life who dove head first into uncertainty. For example, my mother left Cuba with absolutely no certainty that it would work out. But I wouldn’t have the life I’m living today if she refused to accept uncertainty.

When you find yourself repeating unhelpful patterns, do the opposite of what you want to do. This advice might sound like it goes against so much of our programming. We’re always told “be yourself” and “trust your gut.” And those things are still true! But sometimes, our body wants to take the path of least resistance, even if it won’t help us grow.
With the birth of my child approaching, I’ve been thinking a lot about abundance and trying to cultivate as much abundance as possible. As a business owner, the thoughts of “how am I going to continue growing me business and a child!?” definitely come up regularly. I’m sure you have your own limiting beliefs that bring that scarcity mindset into play.
As one example of a way to break the pattern, I recently hopped off of a call and felt that sense of lack closing in. When I’ve felt this in the past, I’ve doubled down on work! But this time, I asked myself “what would abundant Yanet do?” And that led me to an unplanned coffee date with a friend that put me back in giving mode versus receiving. It’s not always our first instincts that are the most expansive. So I hope you walk away from this episode feeling encouraged to challenge yourself next time you slip into a scarcity mindset!

When you become a mother, you start asking yourself “what am I modeling for my child?” Would I want my child to pick up this habit of not taking care of herself? Today’s guest found herself in this exact position one day as she dropped her baby off at daycare. Suddenly, she could see how numb and muted she was becoming. That’s when she reached out to me for coaching!
Today, I’m chatting with a coaching client that just so happens to be a close friend from college as well! She’s passionate about serving people and inspiring women, especially women of color, to heal and take charge. We’re talking about the defining moment of becoming a mother. Nilka’s experience as a working woman who did not have a ton of familial support around her is incredibly inspiring!
We’re talking about what happens when you, as a mother, try to pretend like you’re the same person you were before having a child. And then we’re digging into exactly how Nilka worked through that difficult transition back into authenticity. For Nilka, the transformation started when she realized that she wanted to model a different way for her child. I can’t wait for you to hear more about Nilka and the book she’s writing titled “Muted,” dedicated to all of the women out there that are learning to live out loud!

Your daily routine is the armor you put on at the beginning of the day. Now, I know a lot of people struggle with implementing a daily routine. So today, we’re digging into the how and why behind your daily routine.
If you think about it, the days that have no semblance of routine at all can often feel directionless and out of control. By giving ourselves small, achievable, repeatable habits to come back to, we’re setting ourselves up for success in the day to day.
Don’t feel pressured to make this a morning routine! We all operate on different schedules and we can course correct if we don’t get to it in the morning. I definitely recommend a solid morning routine so that you can put on your armor at the beginning of the day. But we just want to ritualize our experience to enhance our day to day.
The number one thing we want to avoid is an “all-or-nothing” mentality. After all, building a new habit is all about resilience and getting back on track!

As high-achievers, we’re no strangers to discipline. But did you know that discipline without self-compassion just puts you in survival mode? So today, we’re diving into the question: how can we find the balance between discipline and self-compassion?
First, I want to reframe “falling off track.” So often, people look at falling off track as failure. But falling off track is part of the process of falling on track. If no one ever fell off track, we would all be perfect people. And that’s just not the world we live in. We’re living a life of experimentation and we must allow ourselves the experience of falling off track.
For me, this brings meditation to mind. I like to have a ritual of meditating every day. But if I let the fact that I missed one day mean that I’m a failure, I would never meditate again. Self-compassion is the key element that gives you resilience in new pursuits. And the best way to access self-compassion is by putting some distance from outside sources so we can connect to ourselves.
I hope you enjoy this episode and walk away feeling more grounded than before. If you did, please share the episode with a friend so we can grow this community together!

It can be so easy to get caught in the hamster wheel of life. We often forget to tap into abundance in the here and now! I remember hitting six figures in my business. For so long, that was the biggest goal. And guess what? As soon as I hit that goal, it was onto the next. Then, it became about hitting multiple six figures!
What makes a rich life? When I say rich, I’m not just talking about what’s in your bank. We really have to ask ourselves this question and think deeply about the pillars that might make up our rich life. For me, I think of three pillars that make up a rich life: health and wellness, family, and career. As women, I don’t think we’re conditioned to believe we can have it all.
If we commit to our family, we’re told we can’t have a successful career. If we commit to our career, we’re told we can’t have a family. Why do you think men aren’t so burdened with these choices? As women, we have to do some extra work to unlift these limiting beliefs and create the richest life possible.
