In this episode we get down to the facts of sexual assault and harassment in the military.

Vanessa Guillen is a 23 year old Private First Class in the Army who went missing on 22 April 2020 after telling her family she was being sexually harassed by one of her sergeants at Fort Hood, an Army post in Texas. According to an article by CNN her car keys, room key, Identification card, and wallet were found in an armory room where she worked that day. Today we found out that the human remains found were her.  This is disappointing and discouraging.

In this episode I give you facts about sexual assault and harassment in the military, and pretty much lose my crap at least a couple of times.  This was hard to record and I was in tears at one point, it's time for a change!

Towards the end I give some advice in regards to reporting and covering your butt, in hopes that we can start saving each other.  If people are our most important access, then act like it!

This really not an episode as much as a PSA announcement that I was going to stop trying to reach the whole word; and concentrate on Women in the military.  Why?!?  Because there aren't any programs that work on purposeful development of our service members in regards to mindset and I want to be apart of the solution.

Let me tell you a lil something about self-doubt.  It can rob you of your confidence, your faith, your self-assurance...It can take everything...only if you let it!

Check out this episode where I talk about what I was doing on Superbowl Sunday.  Self-doubt came with it's A Game, and I wasn't even ready!  But, what's a good whoopin without a lesson.  I learned some things and I'd like to share it with you all!  Talk to you soon!

I really didn't plan on talking about this topic.  Heck, it's not in my planner at all.  But, after having encountered a situation where people believed that perfect was the answer, I had to talk about it.  I believe greatly that it's this type of attitude that's got people out here damn near killing themselves for a perfect that doesn't exist.   So, I wanted to share three things I'm learning in regards to when people want to help you, but your need to mask imperfections are just in the way!  It's a tough subject, but heck somebody gotta talk about it!   Don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss an episode and if you're not receiving the newsletter, you better get on the list.  Check me out at https://www.selftalkswithme.com.     Music: We Are Here by Declan DP https://soundcloud.com/declandp Licensing Agreement: http://declandp.info/music-licensing Free Download / Stream: https://bit.ly/_we-are-here Music promoted by Audio Library https://youtu.be/kNqzp11gXio

In this episode we talked about how limiting beliefs are affecting your life.  When you allow these thoughts to grow and thrive, you plant seeds of mental discord.  I'm certain that's not your intention whatsoever!  BUT, if so...please quietly turn this off *whispers* "This aint for you"!    I give you my definition of limiting beliefs, tell you a lil story to add some perspective, and get you out and on your way.  If you're into that, you're in the right place.     Be sure to subscribe and leave me feedback on itunes.  Good, bad, or indifferent it helps me get better.  See you all around!     If you're ready to take this to the next level, then get on the waiting list for "Yourself Reimagined" at https://www.selftalkswithme.com/pl/135749     Music: We Are Here by Declan DP https://soundcloud.com/declandp Licensing Agreement: http://declandp.info/music-licensing Free Download / Stream: https://bit.ly/_we-are-here Music promoted by Audio Library https://youtu.be/kNqzp11gXio

Hi my name is Kiana and you're listening to the first episode of Self Talks With Me, where we empower women to move past their fears, shame, rejection, and self deprecating behavior into a dynamic life worth living by changing the inner dialogue they are having with themselves.   I'm your host and ultimately your sister that wants to continue to show you are truly amazing you are. I want you to see yourself as you were meant to be seen and not as you've been taught or even how you might've have painted yourself to be. You don't have to live in that story anymore, and I just want to see you blossom.   We also talked about:
