The Senate has rejected a war powers resolution that sought to limit President Donald Trump’s authority over the ongoing conflict with Iran. The vote largely fell along party lines, though a small number of lawmakers crossed the aisle. The House is expected to take up a similar vote as debate continues in Washington over presidential war powers and U.S. military involvement abroad.
