On Wednesday evening (Sept. 19, 2018), a handful of Senators-related bloggers, podcasters, and social-media personalities were invited by the Senators to attend the preseason game against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Canadian Tire Centre.
In attendance were Sens Callups, Sens Chirp, 6th Sens, Silver Seven Sens, and bRian5or6. We were given the opportunity to talk with Pierre Dorion (General Manager) and then later with Aimee Deziel (CMO), Janice Nicholson (head of digital media).
This is the audio from the round-table portions of those meetings. The quality is limited as it was not a formal interview setup and there was a lot of noise from the arena as pre-game warm-ups were getting underway.
The Pierre Dorion round table consists of the first 19 minutes. After that is the discussion with Aimee Deziel (new CMO). The audio for this section is limited as the warmups had started and there is a more background noise. However we've left it in for you and it can be useful to hear some of the marketing plans the team has, not only with better engaging digital media, but also some plans for the year.
It was a very encouraging conversation and hopefully just the first of many. We'd like to thank the Ottawa Senators again for the chance to participate, and thanks for letting us share the round table with our listeners.
