We spend the majority of our adolescent lives trying desperately not to be different. No one has ever been picked on for being too normal or not being different enough. We would beg our parents to buy us the same clothes little Thabang or little Thapelo wore. We'd want the same backpack and the same bike everyone else had. With the rise of the cell phone and later the smartphone, Did we truly want these things? Yes, but not just because they were cutting edge and nifty. We desired them because the people around us had them. We didn't want to be the last to get these things. We didn't want to be different.

Thankfully, as we mature we begin to realize the fallacy that is trying to be normal. We start to become individuals and learn to appreciate that being different is often seen as beautiful. However, while we begin to celebrate being different on a personal level, it does not always translate into our business or professional lives.

This here, was me selecting out of letting myself be. The first 3minutes was truly passionate, I kept enjoying each song as I threw in.. it was a mechanical like build up. Let’s continue to being ourselves!enjoy!

This mix started with a gig that never happened.

I was booked to play in Braamfontein — a gig called *Supreme Sessions.*

It was meant to be my return to the crowd… spinning vinyl under the open sky

again.

I had the itch — that deep craving for connection, for groove, for movement.

But the show didn’t go on.

Unforeseen circumstances pulled it out from under us — the kind promoters never

plan for, but sometimes can’t avoid.

Still… I had 30 record records  or so I had randomly set aside.No setlist. No clean order. Just instinct. Raw selection.

And this episode — *Supreme Visions* — came out of that same feeling:

unstructured, unfiltered, unfinished… but still real.

I trimmed them down. Spun them with no blueprint.

And what came out was a sound that reminded me:

even when the stage doesn’t show up — the music still will.

This mix is a vision that refused to die with the gig.

It’s the spirit of *what could’ve been*, turned into something that *still is.*

On the week of compiling this episode, a special one to me. It was a period i felt i was being away from my hometown for much too longer, flashbacks and wonderful musical memories kept haunting me. This resulted in me visiting home and seeing the people that i cared about, and met a friend i hadnt seen then for more than 5yrs Paballo Mefolo.

The time we spent together was so short but felt more than enough in satifying how i felt. I eventually dedicated the song at 40min to him ( Artist: Powel).

This town of Carletonville west of Johannesburg has built the musical mindset i have in me today, with my friend Sinovuyo "Beets" Nocuze. His a musical genius that will some day feature in the series to blend us on his selection of music. Kindly Enjoy!

It is a fundamental dilemma of humanity:

we are constantly lookinf for more (be it success, hapiness, meaning or self-realization) and yet at the same time we have an infinite fear of change. We want the safety of the familiar and at the same time, we are curious about the unknown. Our inner longing for personal development cannot be satisfied in our comfort zone. if we want to learn something new or develop further, we have to venture out into growth zone.

in order to survive we have to break new grounds in our thinking and acting- whatever danger or failure. An unsafe condition, which we usually perceive as unpleasant but it's worth it. If a new strategy is found that leads to the goal, then it is internalized.

Thus these sequence series podcast, telling stories through music that might be out of your comfort or provide developmental growth. Enjoy!

Choosing to spend time doing things by yourself can have mental, emotional and social benefits but the key to reaping those positive rewards comes from choosing to spend time alone. In a culture where we often confuse being alone for loneliness, the ability to appreciate time by ourselves prevents us from processing the experience as a negative thing. In fact, getting better at identifying moments whwn we need to solitude to recharge and reflect can help us better handle negative emotions and experiences, like stress and burnout.

most in all, being alone may increase the level of creativity.

this isn’t just a mix—it’s a memory.

It’s a feeling. A reflection of a place that gave me two unforgettable years.

Potchefstroom had this incredible balance.

You could be outgoing, hit the clubs, get lost in the energy… or you could slow it all down and vibe in the townships of Ikageng.

And the people—man, the people—were beautiful. Warm. Real.

I met some of the best people there. People who are still in my life today.

And the grooves we shared? Legendary.

Potch had a pulse… and this set, it captures that.

So yeah… this is more than just deep house.

This is the *beauty* in Potchefstroom.

And I’m proud to have lived it.”
