In this episode of Serenade to the Soul with Jackie OM, we journey into the tender spaces where love meets truth — exploring how our bodies often know what our minds have not yet named.
Jackie reflects on the deep human longing to be seen, heard, and loved, and how these desires shape our closest relationships — and our relationship with ourselves. Through the lens of growth, resistance, and embodied awareness, she reveals how love can serve as both mirror and medicine.
This episode invites you to listen to the quiet wisdom within — the sensations, tensions, and signals of the body that point us back home to ourselves. It’s a conversation about the sacred work of healing, emotional safety, and self-love as the foundation for every connection we create.
The desire to be seen, heard, and loved is fundamental to human connection.
Love acts as a mirror, reflecting where we’re growing — and where we’re resisting change.
Our bodies are honest; they speak truths the mind may not yet understand.
Emotional safety is essential for love to flourish and evolve.
Listening to your body’s messages opens the path to healing and self-discovery.
Change in relationships can be an invitation to deeper intimacy and authenticity.
The journey of self-love begins within — it’s how we come home to ourselves.

In this 30-minute guided Yoga Nidra practice, JackieOM invites you into the wisdom of your body — the quiet inner knowing that speaks beneath words.
This practice, inspired by Episode 15 “Your Body Knows the Way | Yoga, Truth, and the Art of Relationships with Kristen Bly,” guides you to soften, listen, and trust the signals within.
Through gentle body awareness, breath, and guided imagery, you’ll learn to recognize your sensations as messages — each one pointing you toward deeper alignment, honesty, and healing.
Grounding into stillness and safety in your body
A slow, intuitive full-body scan that awakens somatic awareness
The art of listening to your body’s messages without judgment
A heart-centered Sankalpa (sacred intention):
“My body knows the way. I trust its truth.”
An exploration of how your body mirrors truth in relationship and emotion
How To Prepare For Practice
Yoga Nidra can be practiced at any time of day when you need the reset - in the morning to set the tone of your day, midday to realign, or in the evening to fall asleep. You are encouraged to set up a space where you can comfortably lie on your back as if you're going to sleep. Perhaps a bolster or pillow underneath your knees, a blanket to cover your body, and an eye mask or towel to minimize your intake of light. Get cozy and comfy - ANYONE CAN DO THIS practice!
What is Yoga Nidra?
NSDR (Non-Sleep Deep Rest) is the scientific term for Yoga Nidra, the ancient art of bringing the body and the mind to the state of deep rest, relaxation and regeneration. During Yoga Nidra, you are not asleep, but submerged into the sweet state between sleep and wakefulness where the brain enters theta waves. In theta, transformation and healing occurs from beyond the mind rather than through the mind gifting us with the ability to rewire the brain for greater mental and emotional balance and resiliency. Studies show that a single session of Yoga Nidra equates to three hours of restorative sleep improving working memory, creativity, and executive function, as well as reducing stress hormones and increasing the scores of wellbeing and joyfulness.

In this week’s episode of Serenade to the Soul, JackieOM sits down with counselor Kristyn Bly, counselor and founder of Daybreak Counseling who specializes in emotionally-focused therapy for relationships, for a heartfelt conversation about how the body tells the truth first — especially in our relationships.
Together, they explore how embodiment, awareness, and emotional honesty open the door to being truly SEEN — by ourselves and by others.
Through the lens of yoga, counseling, and personal truth, Kristen and Jackie reflect on what it means to listen to the body as a compass in love, trust, and connection.
This episode is an invitation to slow down, feel deeply, and allow your body to lead you toward relational clarity.
How your body reveals truth before your mind can name it
Why emotional awareness starts with somatic presence
How yoga and relationship work intersect through embodied honesty
The role of self-trust in being seen authentically
How to notice and honor your body’s “yes” and “no” in relationships
Ways to reconnect with yourself when disconnection or anxiety arise
This conversation aligns with the “SEEN” pillar of the Serenade to the Soul Sisterhood Retreat — the first in a three-part journey of Seen → Heard → Loved.
Being seen isn’t about being watched — it’s about being witnessed. It’s an act of self-honoring. It’s letting your body be visible in truth, without shrinking or performing. Kristen reminds us that healing often begins when we finally allow the body to speak.

What if eating could be sacred? What if every meal was a chance to return home to your body, to joy, to love?
In today’s heartfelt episode of Serenade to the Soul, Jackie OM takes you behind the mic for a deeply vulnerable conversation about food, body image, and learning to nourish ourselves with more compassion. Together, we explore the 7 Guidelines of a Yoga Meal — a yogic approach to mindful eating — and intertwine them with the principles of intuitive eating.
This isn’t about rules, restriction, or perfection. It’s about listening. It’s about learning to honor your body’s wisdom, setting healthy boundaries with food, and finding joy in the everyday act of eating.
Jackie also shares her personal journey of silencing the inner critic, seeing her body as something sacred — like a child to love and protect — and how mindful eating can support those living with autoimmune or chronic conditions. This episode is an invitation to slow down, breathe, and rediscover food as a portal back to joy, presence, and wholeness.
