Whether our eyes are wide open or wide shut we can not deny the #Democrat party was founded in the south. The same southern Democratic party that continued slavery, created Three-fifths compromise, counting three out of every five slaves as people for taxation and founded the police enforcement for slaves during the civil war. After the abolishment of slavery, the south created black codes aka rules to keep blacks in line. The Democratic Party established Jim Crow law and misled blacks to vote Democrat by enticing FDR's new deal but added stipulations to black Americans. It was the first political party change within the black community.

And the black American community still supports the Democratic Party to this day never addressing the history of the party.
