Jesus is presented at the temple to be dedicated to God. The introduction of Simeon and Anna celebrate the theme of humility as these servants of God are changed by the meeting of Jesus.

The birth of Jesus was a humble experience. From the parents, to the location, to the announcement in the field with Shepherds. God exalts the lowly!

Our response to circumstances can lead to rebuke by the Lord. But, when we humble ourselves before the sovereign God of creation our rebuking can be turned to rejoicing as we experience His goodness.

God is so indignant on His treating of the PROUD and the HUMBLE. Mary and Elizabeth oozed with humility in a season when most would ooze with pride. Today’s teaching covers the difference between humility and pride.

God never called us to simply go to church. Our calling is to exalt God above all things AND be planted in the church. In other words, YOU ARE THE CHURCH.

The incarnation of Jesus is when God became flesh and dwelt among us. Today we look at the implications of the birth of Jesus, and the truth that God is with us ALWAYS.

We face storms in our lives on a regular basis. Today we discussed the truth that true peace isn’t found in the absence of a storm, true peace is found in the presence of Jesus. God is with us!
