We find ourselves wandering through different wilderness experiences that seem to never end. It leads to discouragement and the sense of giving up. Today we discuss how Elijah wandered and how he was able to realize the presence of God, even in the wilderness.

God is always present in our lives, regardless of us believing or not, sensing Him or not, wanting Him or not. The first Advent demonstrated this truth as Immanuel, God With Us, was born. So how can we know His presence in the valley?

After talking to how Christians ought to relate with one another, Paul turns his attention to explaining how the Christian speaks to the non-believer. Paul says that we should use biblical wisdom, "seasoned with salt."

It doesn’t surprise us that prayer is really important. But why are most Christians not very good at it? Colossians takes us to this conversation today.

Slavery is a divisive topic, as it should be. Our worldview of this subject is far different than the biblical worldview, however. The Apostle Paul tackles this difficult topic in this stretch of Scripture.

Scripture is so specific in its teachings regarding how we should honor our parents and how we should raise our children. The Apostle Paul leans into that teaching in Colossians 3.

God’s Word is very clear on the distinction between man and woman in regards to human relations. We were created equally in the image of God, with distinct roles in the Kingdom.

Today we revisit Colossians 3:5-10 as we dig deeper into the specific sins that Paul teaches against. God is very much a wrathful God who hates the sins that we love and wants to see reconciliation.

God is very clear that our sin will not be tolerated. He doesn’t just want us to contain our sin, he wants us to put our sin to death. And the Apostle Paul is incredibly vocal on those teachings in this text.

Paul is writing to the Christians in Colossae to remind them that Christ is all they need. He spends the first part of chapter three letting them know that they need to change their focus from the things of earth, from pursuing satisfaction of self and pursue Christ. To set their minds on the things above and not of the things of earth.
