As a church we've prayed​​ and fasted for a 21 day period and we've finally reached the end! All this month we've been talking about "Freedom in Christ" and this last message in that series is all about how to stay free in Christ. When He sets you free you're wonderfully free. But you can, and will if you're not careful, fall back into captivity. This message reveals three powerful strategies in staying free your whole life in Christ.

In our second sermon in our three-part series on freedom in Christ, we press deeper into what this freedom looks like, why we have it, and how to keep it.

As we begin a three-part series on our freedom in Christ, we first present a definition of this freedom: what it is, what it isn't, and its primary characteristics. Take a listen, read through the notes, and then ask yourself if you really understand this freedom and if you're living it!​

Today we answer the question of "What Guides Us" as we set out on 2017. We'll explore five verses of Proverbs 30 and find that God has set some strong lessons in the behaviors of some rather small creatures.

Christmas Eve Service: The Search for "Why" by Christ Community Church - Brockport, NY

With a week to go before Christmas, we need to ask ourselves, "Who did that baby Jesus grow to be?" Luke chapter 4 gives us that answer, in more specific terms than we have ever imagined. He announces, in verse 21, a time of favor and freedom from God for humans. Is it still true today? If so, how can we get that kind of favor and freedom in our own lives?

The first 18 chapters of Exodus introduces us to the person and life of Moses, the most important Old Testament figure to most ancient Israelites. He brought judgment on Egypt, and was part of the greatest miracle of the Old Testament--the Exodus and crossing of the Red Sea. But his time with the Hebrews in the desert was a mixed bag, and his unbelief at a critical moment brought him trouble in the end.

Our Old Testament journey takes us to another, very important character this week: Joseph! His long and unusual story teaches us lessons about life, what God is really like and how we can understand the ordinary and extraordinary events of our lives. We continue our study of the Old Testament this week by staying in Genesis. We've been seeing how God worked in the life of Abraham, but now it's time to see how God works in the generations after, specifically in Isaac's life. God meets every person where they are and eventually the camels come to each generation!
