This week we'll be studying the portion of Genesis that deals with Noah and the Great Flood. It starts out as a story of the failures of man and ends up a story of God's mercy! It's an ancient story, so you may be tempted not to see how it relates to us now, but that would be a mistake. Our present and our future are impacted by this nearly unbelievable event!

Genesis 4 brings us the story of Cain and Abel, which quickly demonstrates the two divisions mankind fell into after the sin of Adam and Eve: those that follow the Lord, and those that don't. Discover how the story--and blood--of that first martyr Abel is a theme throughout all the Bible, and is a picture of the blood that was shed for us thousands of years later.

Genesis 3 is the ultimate good news/bad news chapter of the Bible. It describes how the human race got into the mess we're in, and it contains the first promise of a coming Savior. This sermon unpacks the chapter, and helps us discover a God who never stops seeking us.
