The Gospel of John was written after the gospels of Matthew, Mark for the Apostle Peter, and Luke for the Apostle Paul. John-s purpose was to incorporate Jesus- sermons in the historical settings of the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke.----The high point of the Gospel of John was introduced in John 16 and 17 which introduced Christ Jesus- trial and crucifixion which, in turn, introduced Jesus- Resurrection and Ascension into Glory.----After completing his Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Apostle John wrote the first of three letters to the church in Ephesus to clarify the application of the Gospel he had written. John was concerned that some were misapplying what he had written earlier. ----The Love which God gives through Jesus Christ is tough love. He resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. When God gives grace to the humble, the humble are manifested as gracious. ----The gracious are be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger. It is the gracious who are United in the Word, United in glory, United in perfection and United in love.
