The central theme of the celebration was the prayer of 2 Chron. 7-14, -If my people who are called by my name would humble themselves, turn from their wicked ways, and pray, then I would hear from heaven and heal their land.-----Twenty years, in 1996, later many who were watching the state of our nation were surprised that the separation between the righteous and the wicked had become astounding.----Another twenty years later, in 2016, the righteous were surprised to be called the -deplorables.- They were further surprised to see presidential candidates who shared their values replaced by two candidates who appeared to represent the wicked.----As the 2016 election was nearing its conclusion, the Canadian Immigration Website became overloaded with individuals seeking to immigrate to Canada. At the end of the election, the number of groups cheering the opportunity to -Take America Back- was amazing.----But one group absent from the cheering multitude was the voice of Patrick Henry who had called for Jesus Christ to named King of the Colonies instead of King George the third. Psalm 46 is the voice of those who desire to see the United States of America restored to the vision of the Plymouth Colony in 1620.
