Book Summary: The Holy Spirit is the life-blood of the local assembly of God's people. All spiritual growth is supernatural not natural. That truth has application to unity, humility, how we preach, moral living, order of service, how we prepare and share in communion, use and view our spiritual gifts, love one another and every other aspect of life together as a church!

Passage Summary: Every believer has been called out of this world with its sin, pride, and selfishness to be united to others believers in humble holy service to and worship of Christ.

Our Lord loves to give His mercy to those who

ask for it, for we live daily by His mercy and grace that our

Lord has all ready provided. The writings of Hebrews 4:16

tells us "Let us come boldly to the the throne of grace, that

we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."

As Christians, we are reminded that there will

always be adversity. Jesus reminds of this in John Chapter

16:33, when he says, "In this world you will have trouble.

But take heart! I have overcome the world." Although we try

to avoid life's troubles, heartbreaks, disasters, and tragic

events, they are unavoidable. It's easy to question God

during those challenging storms in our lives. We may ask

why is this happening to me? What's the purpose of this

tragedy? Today we will learn about the lessons we can

discover from these storms. Using the story of Jesus walking

on the waves to His disciples, we can apply these lessons to

survive and even thrive in life's storms.

All human rebellion will further God's desire to bless his favored people in Christ. Therefore look to no help or happiness outside of him.

Let us trust and enjoy God's absolute control over all creation because he is good and true. Rather than worry, let us joyfully worship and stand in awe of who God is and what he does.

We must resist the temptation to follow strong personalities and carefully pattern our lives after local believers who have earned a good reputation in Christ. We also would do well to listen to our spiritual shepherds when they call out Christian influencers to avoid and other voices to pay attention to.

We all have the opportunity to support the spread of the Kingdom, bring practical hope and healing to the lost, and personally minister to Jesus by opening our homes and our wallets to missionaries, brothers and sisters in Christ who are traveling or churchless, and the vulnerable spiritual sojourners of this world.

The love of Jesus in us leads us to care first for other's spiritual health, but also necessarily for their overall well-being. Therefore it is the object of our prayer and generous effort.

Christians are to be careful to make it clear that they have no relationship with those who have twisted the original message of Christ. All those who continue in the truth will be richly rewarded upon Christ's return
