Date: Sunday, February 10 Synopsis: Jesus rescues us from sin. He goes beyond just rescuing us, but he also gives us a new direction and the ability to follow this new direction. When Jesus rescues he does something NEW.

The call of Jesus requires a decision…it requires a “from now on” moment. “From Now On…” Simon Peter and the others see Jesus as more than just a great teacher who can speak the powerful words. From this moment on, Jesus is recognized as LORD and there is a desire to FOLLOW.

Date:Sunday, January 20 Text: Luke 4:31-44 Synopsis: Jesus’ primary mission wasn’t healing or diving out demons. His primary mission was proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom. What ways are we proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom? Will your words proclaim and lift up the Kingdom or will they diminish and take away from the Kingdom? Will you words speak life and truth into someone’s life or will they tear down? How do your words leave people?

Date: Sunday, December 9th Text: Luke 3:1-6 Synopsis: The wilderness is always an opportunity for God to do something new.

It’s important for us to realize that sanctification is a process. It begins in a moment when we respond to the Spirit’s call, but it encompasses a lifetime of growth and maturation.

The work of the Holy Spirit leads us to a point of desiring Christlikeness and the process of pursuing Christlikeness each and every day.

The truth is this, as Christians we are called express our faith and live our faith through the life of the church. I am convinced that a healthy Christian journey begins and ends with the church.
