The groaning of this present age will give way to future glory. The main thing Paul says in Romans 8:18-25 is this: Our present suffering can’t compare to the glory that awaits God’s children. So groan and long with hope.

2 Samuel 20 is a bit of a mess. David’s story has lost steam and leveled out. We are staring week after week at the darkness surrounding David and billowing up from inside him.
